I’m 40 but a kid at heart. I like all things weird. I have two teenagers and a husband. I grew up in Renton, WA and didn’t go too far! My training is as a nurse but I don’t know what I want to do when I grow up still. I currently work as an Anticoagulation nurse. I stopped drinking alcohol 3 years ago and not ashamed at all! I’m a bit of a goof and spend a lot of time “snapping” my life on Instagram. Follow me if you like! @mermaidsandmailboxes I am a Christian. I have been a photographer since I was 15 years old and enjoy candid and portrait photography along with manipulating angles and creative photography.
I collect a lot of things, mermaids (send the postcards my way lol) in particular but I love old medical items, religious iconic art, interesting ceramics, enamel pins and weird stuff in general. I talk too much about serial killers (sorry not sorry) and Deadliest Catch (I talk too much in general). I’m obsessed with all things Hawaii because I don’t have headaches there and I LOVE coconut everything. Anatomy and science are AWESOME. I like trivia and memorizing historical stuff.
I don’t do judgement... I’m more concerned by someone’s character than their choice of partner, faith, color, or place of origin....so on! I support human beings.
I suffer from a rare disease called Chronic Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (google it sometime 🤪) and Trigeminal neuralgia, plus neuropathy. I have Degenerative Joint Disease as well, yipeee!
I started writing again to combat the isolation and loneliness that comes with an invisible, chronic and very painful condition (I look fine to everyone else). I count my blessings and I refuse to give up even though many day I do want to. I try to live like I have little time left, not a lifetime to come. I try to love all people the way they feel they deserve, not the way I think they deserve. Bottom line is everyone deserves the love that we believe deserve.

Real, human, stories, that’s what inspires me. I am generally interested in anyone who has something they want to share about themselves. Your strange coincidence, six degrees of separation, past and present colliding, I want those stories. Your triumphs and struggles and how you fight or overcame (because that matters).
I have some of my own that I hope inspire others too.
