I love the beach too, but I like to ocean because better than just the lake..Lake Erie which is right by me is known for it's dirty lake and beaches, Lake MI is nice though, but I still prefer the ocean beaches..And I live in MI, the coldest state ever I feel:)

The smell of summer rain is deff one thee best smells out there! My best friend's back yard is the Superstitious Mountains. She always sends me pretty pictures of them and it just is so amazing that something that beautiful exists all over the world :) It must be nice :) Have you ever gone hiking up a mountain?
