It talks about the Hawk v. Hawk case where a Tennesee court ruled they had no right to interfere in a parent's right to make decisions for their family when it comes to preventing a child from seeing grandparents.
I read some more about that case, and it was just a situation where the parents didn't like the grandparents. I think with your situation, and the much deeper issues, there shouldn't be an issue. At least, I hope not.
