Hello, my name is Alison and I am addicted to craft supplies. :) The biggest addiction is probably fabric.....I have been quilting on and off since I was 8, but I also love cross stitch and have recently taught myself to knit. I also have made some jewelry and used to piddle with pottery (never was very good, though). Crafting has been a part of my life since before I could walk, but am also a Math and Science teacher and engaged to the smartest most wonderful environmental/chemical engineer I know. I love swing dancing, a good margarita, and college football.....and I'm trying to learn to love running. My fiance and I recently moved to Northwest Arkansas so if anyone is from the area and has some great ideas for things to do or places to see, please PM me!
I LOVE fabric.....this is truly an addiction....especially batiks and Civil War era reproductions.
The batiks are just my own love, the Civil War fabrics are a true help though.....I use them to make patriotic quilts to send overseas through "Quilts of Valor" (For these my preference is white and/or off white shirtings, reds, and blues....and even though these are charity quilts, I only use Quilt Shop Quality Fabrics. I want my quilts to be loved and cherished for generations.)
Homespun cottons
Other Traditional Plaids
Green Tone on Tones (I am always using these up in my applique projects)
30s repros
MODA
Alexander Henry
Also AMY BUTLER Fabrics and Handbag patterns.
I also love good chocolate.....this is the only caffine in my entire diet, ladies. I've given up sodas, coffee, and caffinated teas.....but I can't give up my chocolate. :)
Good recipies....always looking for something quick and interesting to cook for me and my fiance. :)
Texas A&M goodies.....my alma mater WHOOP!!!!
100% cotton yarn - I use this to make knitted and crocheted dishcloths - even better.....a handmade dishcloth out of this yarn.
CLEAN Sawdust.....I mix this in my pincushion filling, so if it has a lot of dirt in it or ANY grease....I don't want it. Thanks.
Stickers, office supplies, smelly items (not really my dislike - my fiance HATES all the perfumes). Along this line of thought, if you are a smoker, please take the time to air your items out before sending them to me. Some of this stuff can really knock us non-smokers over when we open it. :( Thank you
Also, no cross stitch kits please.....I have enough of them for a few lifetimes.
Fabric Dislikes: Non natural fibers.....I use 100% cotton almost exclusively, but I love wool and silk fabrics too. Cheap, loosely woven fabrics.....please don't send me a $3.00 fabric - I won't do that to you. Most Novelty Prints, and ultra bright geometrics. Polka Dots.....tone on tone is okay.....but I'd prefer a check or a plaid any day of the week. Also, unless I ask specifically for it, I prefer not to get childrens items. We don't have any kidos yet. :)
I know this makes me sound picky. I'm really not. I just know that it is SOO much easier to put together a package when you know someone's taste. We crafters are ALL so different. Have a wonderful day.

Hi! Just to let you know that the mail usually takes 10-20 days to arrive from Brazil, so your blocks should be arriving these days. If there is any problem, please let me know, ok? Hope you like it :)
Your partner contacted me and said that she hasn't received her blocks for the doll quilt block swap. It shows that you mailed them in December? Perhaps this was marked in error? Please contact me.
Thanks, Christine
I haven't get anything from since I saw your sent status. Shall i rate you ?
