I'm 27 years old, and I work as the Accounts Payable Manager for a construction company. I live with my boyfriend of seven years and our dog. In my free time, I love to read. I can devour books like mad. Generally, I lean more toward fantasy and science fiction novels, though I do indulge in fiction and even romance when I need something take my mind off the world. I also adore Jane Austen's novels. When I'm not reading, I love to write short stories or novellas. I also dabble in website design and graphics.

I enjoy pretty much any genre. My favorites are Elvis Costello, Nick Cave, Twilight Singers, and Bjork. However, those are not exactly the scope of what I listen to on a daily basis. I love and can find appreciation for all sorts of music.

It's so difficult to pick movies because there are so many that I have enjoyed. Some examples would be Dancer in the Dark, American Beauty, Black Runner, Breaking the Waves, and many of the Jane Austen adaptations.

Most of my favorites are long gone and canceled. Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Carnivale, The X-Files, Profiler, and Babylon 5. I'm currently watching Doctor Who. And I love anime--Ghost in the Shell, Fullmetal Alchemist, Helling, etc.

I love to knit and crochet. I can make something simple that looks very nice, but the more complicated the pattern, the more I tend to muddle it. However, I'm still learning and getting better all the time. I've never actually been taught how to do either. I taught myself from a silly book I found at Wal-Mart.
