I have about ten 1s, all back from 2007, when I was dealing with the loss of my mother and overcommitted. Crafting certainly helped me with my grief, but crafting on a deadline clearly wasn't for me.
If I flaked on you back then and you're still active on swapbot, send me a message and we'll sort something out ASAP.
Mixed media collage, paper arts (eg, bookmaking, altered books and ATCs)
I've basic skills at papermaking, embroidery, beading, sewing, knitting, and kumihimo.
I do not crochet, quilt, or work with clay (eg, Sculpty)
I love things that inspire creativity (eg, Sark, The Artist's Way). I have a subscription to Cloth Paper Scissors and Somerset Studio and enjoy reading other Stampington publications, Craft, Make, and ReadyMade.
In no particular order:
Thirty-something self-taught artist
Married for eight years as of April. In our dreams, we'll be living on a houseboat in ten years, traveling to art festivals and sharing margaritas.
I'm co-parenting two rescue cats (Ripley and Zim), a terrier (Yoda), a pit bull I literally scooped off the streets (Lola) and my teenage brother who loves skateboarding.
The furthest west I've ever been is Arkansas and the furthest east Austria. I've lived in the North of England and several US states (Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida).
I own an iPod and a linoleum knife. I know how to make my own paper and beer. I took French language classes for more than five years, but I'm only fluent in computer languages (HTML, CSS, PHP).
I believe the Intarweb is BOTH a series of tubes and made for cats.
I make kick-ass guacamole and pierogi.
I've gotten a paycheck or volunteered at the following places: Habitat for Humanity, a variety of museums and art centers, a fruit stand, a free bookstore, and a leather shop.
