My name is Charlotte, a mother of a daughter and a son and 1 step-daughter, grandmother of 8 (yours, mine & ours). Grand kids are the best! What a blessing they are. I am married to my best friend and soul mate; he's absolutely great! I live in Texas and work for the school district in a small town. We live out in the country which I really love. I love animals, currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats.

My go to music is country. We watch American Idol and The Voice. Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line, Kasey Musgrave, Scotty McCreary, Keith Urban are some of my favs. I also like other types of music. Phil Phillips, Bruno Mars, Pit Bull, Rod Stewart, Michael Buble, JoLo, Elvis Presley, Beatles, Beach Boys are some of the others I like.

I love music or watching YouTube tutorials whenever I am doing my artsey stuff.

I read quite a bit, but very slowly. My daily devotional is "Jesus Calling' - highly recommend. I read a lot of mysteries, Patterson, Baldacci, Iles. I really enjoyed the "Hunger Games" series and "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo". I have also greatly enjoyed Dan Brown's controversial books & am currently reading "Inferno". I also read about random things that interest me. I love to read the books before I see the movies. I have a long list of books that I want to read.

I love movies!!! One of my very favorites is Lion King and of course there are many, many others. How do you really choose a favorite out of all the different types, I mean one of my all time favorites is "Gone With the Wind", now how do you compare that to "The Lion King"? Recently saw Monument Men & 12 Years a Slave-both excellent movies. I love mysteries, comedies, but do not like stupid humor. My taste runs pretty much like the books I read and the TV I watch.

We are currently engrossed in several series: Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Person of Interest, Blue Bloods, Hawaii 50, Following, Bones, Intelligence, The Big Bang Theory, Revolution and several others. As you can tell we are pretty much couch potatoes.

I am trying to teach myself to draw and really enjoying the process. I have just gotten interested in ATC's which I kept telling myself that I wouldn't do because I have too many things going on. Oh well, I am sure I can squeeze them in somewhere. LOL I have an art journal going on, love making other types of journals, cardmaking, scrapbooking. I am also pretty engrossed in mixed media and collages. My favorite colors are pink and purple. I have discovered over the last several years that I have a fascination for beautiful papers, as well as, things made out of them. .

I am not much of a postcard collector; however, I love the map ones that show me where you are from/live. I like some of the really old ones, but as a whole I am not a postcard person. I also collect US stamps & First Day Covers.

I love antiques, and have several different collections. I am a Christian and do not want to receive anything to do with witchcraft, pagen or anti-Christ. With rare exception, I do not like skulls, crossbones, etc.

I am really pretty easy to please, just some thing please me more than others.
