Hi everyone! My name is Blythe Snob and I am a graphic designer and fine artist down at the beautiful Jersey Shore. As an artist, I pride myself on being super crafty and I really do love to dabble in all sorts of art projects in my free time. Flea markets and garage sales are like Heaven to me, lol. I also collect all kinds of dolls in my extensive collection ranging from childhood Barbies from the 80s; unique porcelain dolls I collected growing up; American Girl Dolls from the 90s; 1920-1930s composition dolls (the more cracked and chipped the better); 1940s Travel and Dutchess Dolls; and even 1970s Topper Dawn Dolls and Blythe Dolls. Since collecting, my artwork and photography have really taken off! I’m so happy I came across Swap-bot because it seemed like a great way to meet other art-minded friends and I know I’ll have a lot of fun participating in the swaps! Besides, I always go above-and-beyond in all I do, so if you ever have me as a partner, I’ll never let ya down!!! You’ll see ;)
I appreciate all kinds of music, but I have a soft spot in my heart for cheesy 80s music!
I love to read! I really like memoirs about interesting people's lives.
Comedies like Dumb and Dumber, Billy Madison, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, The Princess Bride, Scary Movie 2 and Napoleon Dynamite; my childhood favorites: The Wizard of Oz, The Karate Kid, Dirty Dancing, Troop Beverly Hills, Willy Wonka and Pee Wee's Big Top; romantic films like Pride and Prejudice, The Notebook and Somewhere in Time; and any movie that is intriguing enough to make me want to see it again!
Anything HBO, especially True Blood, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Big Love, Dexter, Weeds, Mad Men, The Daily Show and E's The Soup.
Crocheting, knitting, sewing, drawing, painting, sculpting, photography, digital arts, dotee dolls, oh gosh- the list goes on!!!
Honestly? I love to be surprised and since I'm always game to try new things, whatever you send me, I'm sure I'll find a useful purpose for it, or just enjoy it the way it is! Also, I figure, I might get something so different and unexpected, that it could open up a whole world of possibilities and a new direction in art for me. So send away!
Here are some things that I would LOVE to receive incase it's a swap tailored to my profile:
• Something you specialize in making- a craft you're good at and would like to share
• Anything Kawaii
• Dolls, dolls and more dolls- any kind! Big and small- old and new- handmade or store bought- I'm a doll freak!
• Blythe related items (things for a 12" doll or Barbie scale)
• Miniatures and Rement
• Erasers and cool pens and pencils
• Funky stationary
• Little boxes of all kinds
• Candies and Teas (I love chocolates and fruity candy as well and I enjoy ALL kinds of teas)
• Good books you'd like to share
