My name is Claire and I live in New Zealand. I have 2 children who are now adults, 3 grandchildren - 2 girls in New Zealand and 1 boy in Ireland. My daughter is also on this site @bluecornflower I belong to an embroidery guild and a patchwork guild. I belong to a service club called Quota.I also am a Red Hatter. I like cats and have a Persian called Harry. I like gardening, and cooking.

Favorite Music

I enjoy country and western, 1960s to 1980s music. My favourites are ABBA, Bee Gees, Rowan Keating, Rod Stewart, and Cher.

Favorite Books

I like autobiographies, craft books and easy to read fiction.I have just finished a book by Nora Roberts and I enjoy Maeve Binchy

Favorite Television

Coronation Street, Holby City, The Bill, Wipe Out, and ones based one the"" Olden days" Jayne Eyre etc, Nature and cooking programmes, gardening programmes. I like CSI, UKTV channels.

Favorite Crafts

I do patchwork mainly machine patchworking, quilting, embroidery, my favourite is hardanger, and beading.

Likes

I would like to receive: * Fabric - cottons, for quilting * Embroidery threads - metallics, varigated Embellishments * Buttons - especially with cats * Ribbons * Quilting sewing thread Quilting patterns/Beading patterns My favourite colours would be blue/green/red/turquoise I like bright colours I also like Batic Fabrics Also beads that are different to the run of the mill ones. I know they can be expensive so dont go out and buy them perhaps you have 1 or 2 that you dont know what to do with them?? I also like Africian prints I have done a wee bit of felting and enjoyed that so.....?? I also collect postage stamps.

Dislikes

I live in a smoke free house, and I would prefer not to receive smoky items.

Dislikes I not fussed on orange things

I wanted to let you know the fat quarter inspired me to make a mini quilt as a table topper, and I can't wait to get started. It really was a beautiful piece of fabric. LOVED it!
Response: Yes I have still got some of the pansy material too. It`s very tempting to start another project. I`ll hang fire for a liitle while, as I am going to a patchwork retreat for a week, this weekend I leave..
