Hi! My name is Katie and I am 36 years old (for at least a little while longer). I am married with 2 kids (boy age 3 and girl age 2) and I work full time as a medical secretary in the mental health field. I have lived in 2 major Midwest cities, but now live in a smaller city in Missouri, USA.

My life is completely hectic, but I won't sign up for something unless I can do it. If you don't get something from me, please let me know because it shouldn't be a problem from me but I will do my best to fix it.

I have always been somewhat of a creative person. I've tried a few new things over the past few weeks and have discovered unknown talents I never imagined that I had. I'm looking forward to trying different things on here (like ATC's for example).

I honestly haven't found a craft that I don't like yet. I dabble in just about everything.

I have a planner and I like to decorate the pages and different dates/events. I guess it's a small version of scrapbooking. I also do scrapbook and do card making.

I'm not original in my crafts, and I'm not typically a person who thinks outside the box. I am a pretty concrete thinker, but once I get my inspiration from something I can elaborate or change things to make it more original and personal to me.

I recently picked up knitting and crocheting. I am a beginner at both, but what I have done I've picked up fairly quickly. I also have started with some small sewing projects. Beginner tips and pattern for anything would be great!

I love drawing, although I'm not great, I am learning. My kids like my drawings because I keep them pretty simple.

I really want to do some mosaic work and would love to learn how to paint - particularly on canvas. I have done a few distressed wood signs that have turned out pretty good. I like to repurpose old furniture to make it look new again.

Since I work full time and have 2 preschool age children, I don't get to watch a whole lot of television. I record a lot, but give up on some when my DVR starts deleting things to make room.

The shows I try to keep up with are New Girl, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Sons of Anarchy, The Blacklist, Scandal, The Good Wife, and Grey's Anatomy. I also try to watch Jimmy Fallon at least a few times a week. If time would allow, I would watch every show!

Some of the other series that I really like are Game of Thrones, The Newsroom, True Blood, Homeland, Orange is the New Black, and House of Cards.

I used to go to movies a few times a month. The only movie I have seen in the theater in the past 2 years was Frozen, and I waited to take the kids to that until the last minute. I think before that, the last movie I saw would have been the last Twilight movie.

I don't like scary movies or overly suspenseful movies. If I'm watching at home and the suspense is too much, I'll fast forward to the end to see what happens and then rewind it back to watch how it happens.

I love comedy movies (Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Heat, etc). I am a big fan of romantic comedies, musicals, and dramas also.

Likes: My favorite color is red

I prefer coffee to tea (I have a Keurig, so k-cups would be appreciated for those swaps but loose grounds are fine too).

I love wine. I prefer Cabernet or Shiraz. White wine is typically to sweet for me, even chardonnay. I love beer, but prefer something like Blue Moon, Boulevard, Sam Adams, Schlafly, Heinekin, Corona - I love all beer paraphernalia, especially Stag beer, Pabst Blue Ribbon, or any named above.

The smells I love are citrus/tropical (Orange, grapefruit, coconut, etc.), fruity (melon, orange, strawberry, fruity smells), and fall/cinnamon (pumpkin spice, red cinnamon, etc.

If I do a tea swap, I prefer bags and don't care much for fruity flavored teas.

Stickers!! I love stickers!! No reward stickers and I prefer that they not be super tiny. I have 2 small children, so character stickers are fine. I'd love some Mr Yuk stickers if anyone comes across a sheet of them. I love owls, cute animals, Disney, also like them to be blingy/sparkly/glittery or plastic-like stickers. Something sturdy and not the cheapy ones from dollar stores.

I love things from the 80's and 90's. Band memorabilia, ads, postcards...all of it!

I love to travel. Until recently I worked at a travel agency. Because I had a horrible boss, I missed out on some opportunities, but I love things from other countries. Coins from other countries, souvenir coins, postcards, jewelry, etc.

I like things that you don't necessarily find in a store... Quality and creative handmade items are great!

I like cute or classic Halloween decor, not the scary/gory stuff

I cannot do flower/floral scents at all. No vanilla or patchouli, nothing too musky. No strong perfume type products please. I get headaches with a lot of these scents.

I have no interest in stamps - I do save the ones I get to send to other people though

Because I have small children, I would prefer nothing with nudity

No gum please. I also don't care for hot candy or really sour candy.

As you can see, I have a ton of likes and not a whole lot of dislikes. My favorite holiday is Halloween and Christmas is a very close second.

Son age 3 1/2, daughter age 2 1/2. Their interests change daily.

Right now they are:

TV/Movies: Phineas and Ferb, Frozen, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the older movie), Cars (movies), Super Mario, Super heros (mainly Spider-Man/girl, Batman/girl, Superman/girl).

They both also enjoy playing and watching sports. He's obsessed with all things baseball, soccer, golf, basketball.

They are in child small shirts, he is in 5T pants and she is in 4T pants. He's toddler 10 shoes and she is toddler 8 shoes.

Husband:

He likes camouflage everything, hunting, wrestling, and the same shows I do. He wears XL-2XL shirts, and size 11 (US) foot.

I love so many different kinds of music. Dave Matthews, most 80's and 90's, Pearl Jam, Social Distortion, Three Days Grace, Rascal Flats, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Rhianna, Eminem, Talking Heads,

I could seriously go on for hours. I listen to satellite radio. My favorite stations are: 80's on 8, 90's on 9, Lithium, The Highway, The Blend, and New Wave.

I don't have time to read, but I love to! I have so many books on my list. I like current non-fiction/biographies, comedy books, and a lot of the young adult stuff (Harry Potter, Twightlight, Hunger Games, etc). I read most of the Sookie Stackhouse books, but don't read any other "paranormal" books.

Not a big fan of romance books. About 15-20 years ago I read Danielle Steele. I liked it then, but it doesn't interest me now. I attempted 50 Shades, but the writing was so bad I barely made it through the first one. I couldn't imagine making it through 2 more. I tried to like it but couldn't lol.

A few of my favorites have been Pride and Predudice, Little Women, and the Harry Potter books.
