I am married to a wonderful man and have three kiddos. One is grown and married, the other two are school age. I am 44 years young, my babies keep me that way.
I have three dogs and three cats. AND three chickens.
Please don't send me things that smell like smoke. That's gross. :o(
I love to quilt, sew and crochet. This makes me a "collector" of all things related to those crafts, such as FABRIC and YARN! I adore books and have a "issue" with magazines on these topics. I much prefer 100% cotton fabrics only and any yarn is great, but 100% wool rocks! PLEASE NOTE, I DO NOT SCRAPBOOK and I cannot use scrap-booking goodies :-)
We are in the process of locating our perfect home/small farm here in the Texas Panhandle. I love chickens! I even have some that live indoors(in a cage, of course). I love goats, sheep and cows, as well.
My family is on a journey to become more self-sufficient and more healthy. I keep us away from as much junk and processed food as possible, but we do have our guilty pleasures :-)
I love books and magazines (see, another "issue" with books and magazines) on farming, self-sufficient living, gardening and the like.
I watch some TV, especially movies, but am not an addict. I love Netflix...best invention since running water!
Colors? Well my favorites are red and green, but orange, yellow and purple are close in the running. Blue is my least favorite color of all. I prefer bright, bold colors over pastels. My color choices reflect my personality.
I don't read books much, other than the ones I already mentioned having an addiction to. I just don't sit still long enough to read novels or chapter books :-)
I am a home-schooling Mommy to my 9yo daughter and my 6yo son has autism and attends a private school with lots of other special little people.
I like purses and aprons, and love to buy patterns for them. Now, if I would just USE those patterns to sew myself some adorable goodies!
I like to cook. I used to LOVE to cook, now I just LIKE to cook. Maybe it's the aging factor, or maybe just my crazy life gets in the way. I cook, anyway.
My style, you ask? Oh my. Traditional, retro, vintage, country. I like most every style EXCEPT modern.
I'm a ladies size L-XL/12-14.
I like any type of handmade goodies, especially the aforementioned purses/bags and aprons.
I am a Christian, but prefer NOT to receive religious type items in my swaps.
OK I don't mean to sound rude and obnoxious, but I'm quite tired of opening swap packages that come in the mail to find cheap junk.
I get quite frustrated when I put my heart and hard work into a swap package only to receive back a package full of junk. Please don't send swap partners cheap tasteless junk. Dollar store crap is not something YOU would want to receive, so why would you send it to someone else? I'm not rich, but my out-going swap packages are super nice and I am proud to send them out.
If you want to swap and not spend a small fortune, tasteful handmade goodies are awesome! You don't have to spend a lot to put together a nice package for your swap partner.
Be sure to include a note in your package so I can know who it came from and which swap it represents :-)
Country mostly. I do like alot of the 50's, 60's 70's and some 80's.
Quilting and crochet books. Farming, self-sufficient living, gardening.
I'm not too picky, I'll watch pretty much anything once. Not too fond of blood and gore "shoot 'em up" or horror flicks, though.
19 Kids and Counting and a majority of the evening programs on TLC. Animal Planet, Lifetime, LMN, Investigation Discovery to name a few.
