I am married to, well, my husband. His name is Jeff. I pretty much like him, until he tries to clean the house - then he thinks there should be a parade, and well, all he did was throw a piece of paper in the trash. I keep him around becuase he is a great source of support and the other half of my heart. So occasionally, I let him have his parade!
I have one son (takes after his dad in house cleaning ability) and he's who really keeps my busy. He's involved in Scouts, so I'm a Cubmaster. We are involved in Church so I administrate the children's ministry program and lead a few small groups here and there. Jace is 9 and, though I might be a little biased, he's cute and brilliant!
I am employed full time outside of the home as a corporate trainer. I like what I do and I work for an awesome company.
And finally, I go to school. I am in an Adult Learning graduate program. One class to go, the hardest one - I can't talk the professor into just giving me an A for my personality, so I guess I'll be taking it in the spring.
I listen primarily to Christian music. Not the gospel stuff, but the pop kind of stuff...I like Chris Tomlin, For Him, Rich Mullins, shoot, I pretty much like all of it.
I listen to country too, sometimes. I must listen to it more than I think I do. I seem to know all the words to songs that I didn't even know were out. Shoot, I wish that's how I learned my homework. Nope, I actually have to study that.
Remember, I have a 9 year old son. His favorite shows are Suite Life of Zach and Cody, Johnny Test, Ben 10, Drake and Josh - that kind of stuff. I must really like it to becuase he'll go over to his friends house and I'll watch TV. The program will be running credits before I realize that I'm watching one of "his" shows.
I also like HGTV, TLC, and Bravo network. I'm not sure I really watch TV though...It's on, but if someone asks me what I'm watching I can rarely tell them.
OH, but I do like Biggest Loser. Those people are such a huge inspiration and so real. I keep thinking by watching it I'll lose weight - it's not working well for me. I'm doing pretty good about finding what those contestants are losing though.
As long as it's not a Harlequin kind of romance, or Stephen King, or a textbook - I can read about anything. Self-Help, Christian, Jodi Picoult, Tess Garretson, Jan Karon...about anything. This is one of my favorite past times.
I just read a book called "The Shack." It was awesome. Some might feel that it was blasphemy or whatever. Here's what I know...I haven't reacted to a book like that in years. It took me about 8 hours to read and I'm ready to read it again.
I'm new to Gardening and Garden Junk, but I really like it. I had my first garden ever this year - and things grew...that was good!
I scrapbook. I'm about 4 years behind and falling further each year, but I have fun when I find the time and the space to enjoy it.
I bead. Necklaces, bracelets and earrings. I don't sell my stuff, just keep it...Not sure it's great, but I do enjoy it. I use silver gold and gemstones. I don't know anything about seed beads. My sisters is a Silpada representative, so sometimes I restring stuff for her customers as a favor to them.
Likes - a rich and handsome man - oh wait, that's a fantasy...
Since I don't have that, I'll settle for chocolate, hot cocoa, cooking, sleeping, dogs, gardening, reading, kids, - I'm really not picky about much - I pretty much like anything except....
Dislikes - pastel colors (including pink in any shade) and mushrooms.
If you happen to have any postcards lying around or easy access to them...my son is collecting them and wants to add to his collection. I'd love to get one with my packages so I could share it with him.
