Card making, printing, online scrapbooking, sewing, knitting, baking - love it all but not particularly good at any of it!!

I'm such a child.....love the original Charlie and Chocolate Factory, Miyazaki's films - Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service etc, The Slipper and the Rose, The Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins but also like Woody Allen films and so many others.....but not scary or violent (I might have nightmares!)

Indie kid at heart and love folk music but dabble here and there; The Smiths, Camera Obscura, The Concretes, The Kings of Leon, Laura Marling, Martha Wainwright, Johnny Flynn......

Like the classic childrens' stories - especially Alice in Wonderland, Chronicles of Narnia and Grimm's Tales. Love childrens' books which have been beautifully illustrated. Have enjoyed The Kiterunner, The timetravellers wife and many others. Almost forgot, I am a huge fan of Murakami.

I was born in Northern Ireland; brought up on the North Antrim Coast and moved to England to go to college. Unfortunately, except for holidays, I have never returned. I now live and work on the South Coast of England with my 2 young daughters.

I would love to correspond with mums with similar aged children (10 and 13) to organise our own personal swaps involving the children - toys, books, sweets, recipes, journals, paintings etc This would be a fantastic introduction to the world of penpals for my two.
