Jan 2, 2011 I will be back, but right now I am taking my first European trip! I am spending most of January in Ireland, Italy and Malta!!! I will bring lots of postcards and be back in Feb. Happy New Year!
** Please write the swap name and SWAPBOT on your cards ** I am on other swap sites and this makes it easier to thank the appropriate person.
I am 30 years old and have always lived in or around Dallas, Texas, USA. I am a substitute teacher trying to get my own class of middle schoolers to whom I can impart some knowledge. :)
I have been a member of Postcrossing.com for almost 2 years and postcard trading is my number one hobby. I love to travel whether it is far ways or a 3 hour road trip.
I also love to read and go to the theater, I am a Broadway addict!

I could no sooner list a favorite book as a favorite star in the sky.
I enjoy reading biographies, mysteries, thrillers and good young adult fiction (not Twilight). I also like the paranormal action/romance novels.
A few titles: The Outsiders, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Anita Blake - Vampire Hunter, Most of James Patterson's work, Rule of Four, Mary Higgins Clark, Teachable Moments (EVERY parent/teacher needs this book!!!!), All that Glittered, anything Edgar Allen Poe ever wrote, Hans Christian Andersson, Hunger Games ...
I am a beginner knitter and crotchetier - I can make a fabulous scarf but that is about it for now. I am thinking of making an afghan for my mother for Christmas but... we shall see.
I'm a great self taught baker but a lazy cook. If I'm invited to dinner you can bet I will bring dessert but please don't count on me for the entree. :)
I love postcards! I prefer my cards sent WRITTEN and stamped, I think the postmarks and travel wear add to the appeal. If sending more than one postcard or a postcard with something else then of course put it in an envelope/package. Just please, send it WRITTEN!! :)

I have very few dislikes :

I hope I haven't hurt anyone's feelings or stopped someone from send a card, but I ask everyone to respect these three wishes. Thank you very much!
As I've said I love to travel. For 6 years i worked for Chili's as a corporate trainer and I got to travel all over the US and to Canada. I always say I got to see the country one 70 hour work week at a time. :)
I have been to every state in the US except Alaska and Hawai'i. I love road trips. My favorite US cities are Austin, NYC, San Francisco, Denver, New Haven CT, Boston, Memphis, Seattle, and Phoenix.
I have traveled to the Bahamas, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Mexico, and Vatican City.
My favorite trip I've ever been on was a business trip where I spent a month in Alberta Canada. I opened the Chili's in Banff, Canada and I was amazed the entire time. I then spent a week with friends in Calgary and I dream of going back soon.
My Dream trips are (and places I'd love cards/souvenirs from):
~ The Canadian Rockies again! ~ Ireland again! ~ Romanina ~ Belarus ~ Russia ~ Germany ~ Estonia ~ Czech Republic ~ Japan ~ Australia ~ Belize ~ Any city that has hosted the Olympics ~To attend an Olympic Games would mean that I could die happy!
I have no food allergies, and my only food dislike is Licorice/anise/fennel. I am an omnivore! :)
I like postcards Written.
Nudity and Profanity do NOT bother me.
I am trying to de-clutter my life and my apartment so I am not looking for a lot of small items or more craft items, unless I sign up for specific swaps for these items. I appreciate the thought but I am trying to stop my pat rack tendencies.
I love and collect written postcards, even if they are sent in an envelope. If we are partners is more than pc swap, feel free to send all in one envelope if you like (but send written!). All blank PC's go into my "to Trade" pile.
