About Me

I am a crazy crafting lady; I love to try new mediums and challenges. I love altered art, crazy quilting, painting and jewelry making. I have four children and one cat.
I canned the blog for now, just couldn't keep it up... I am not a fan of extras in the envy, I already have a plethora of stuff my kids will have to sort out after I have gone to the big craftland in the sky, but if you are kind and add ephemera to the swap as a bonus as some do, I really appreciate truly vintage ephemera.

As I have become more comfortable and found my swap bot land legs, I have realized I give hearts for art, and although I love reading your profiles, I focus mostly on dislikes (so as not to offend) and just create my art and hope you receive it with the love it was sent.

Favorite Music

I love old classic rock, big band, swing and 1920's music; perhaps I am an old soul? Neil Young is my hero and I love me some Petty, Aerosmith, Moody Blues, Taylor...

Favorite Books

I love to read, I love all types of books. Not crazy about historical fiction or sports. I belong to the Paperback book swap, you can swap for free just the cost of the postage for the books you send, not the ones you receive... This is a great place to swap books for FREE! Check it out, my nickname is Goddessfox if you want to beer me some love for turning you onto PBswap. I love it!

Favorite Television

Love crime shows, Freaks n Geeks, and especially The Office.

Favorite Crafts

Crazy Quilting is my current new found passion. I make altered dominoes, I solder jewelry, paint, collage, do needlework and love to try new found mediums. I belong to several Yahoo craft groups, you can find me under Herricane1.

Not especially fond of...

Day glo colors, wool & burlap make me sneeze, and I am not really a fan of the more modern trendy things.

What I am fond of...

I love vintage and antique things, muted colors and a sense of detail. Anything old is a treaure.

Comment: Thanks for the unique and supercute mermaid matchbox bed! This was the first time I received a pop-up matchbox, super creative! Sorry I didn't give a heart. I had to pay postage for it and it was missing the matchbox tray. I added glue to keep it 3-D for display in my collection.

Response: You use a small craft iron and Crayola crayons. you can find tutorial on you tube, it was a blast I am glad you liked it!!

I was going over profiles for the Memento Mori Swap and noticed that you like music from the 1920's also. If you don't already know of them I would highly recommend The Boswell Sisters, they are my favorite. I also wanted to tell you that your "I never saw another butterfly project" inspired me to take my children to the Houston Holocaust Museum so they would have a better understanding of what the butterflies were for.
