THANK you for the coloring book! That was so sweet. Even though I don't want Asa to grow up and want him to stay a baby forever, I can't wait until we can do fun things together like coloring. You rule! Sending you extra coats of awesomeness!

good mornin', just stopping in to say hello and happy day!

It's ridiculous that Savannah doesn't have Georgia State postcards because Georgia was founded in SAVANNAH in 1732!!! heavy sigh and rolls eyes Thank you for letting me know that I'm not alone. In fact, I called the two major postcard companies for Savannah and they no longer even make state map ones. Thank you for the compliment on my name. :) It's actually "wild gooseberry" (per my little website) but I didn't want people on here to call me "wild" for short, hee hee! Oh, and yes, it's very nice to know of another Fanilow here! :)

Thank you so much!!!

for the super awesome hand-carved owl stamps (which I think turned out great, btw, whatever flaws you see- I don't!) and the beautiful hand drawn stationary, which I love so much, I don't know if I'll be able to send it out, I think I might have to hoard it! Big (((hugs)))of appreciation- you are an amazing artist!!!:)

FYI: I have been getting tons of compliments and inquiries about my swap-bot stamp. I give you full credit so I'm sorry if you start getting a million requests for them. Hehehehe.

Thanks, dear, for the kind words. (";) The AMD doesn't prevent me (yet) from doing everyday normal life things - it just makes reading and sewing and cooking (my 3 favourite hobbies) difficult. And while the doctor says I could still drive, I do not feel I have enough central vision left to do so. I cannot always see street lights and stop signs.

My father is 82 and has been legally blind for about 15 years. He has always been positive about it, but I know it devastated him. The worst thing was losing his licence. He also feels guilty about passing it on to his kids - 2 of the 4 of us have AMD.

They have shown that AMD can be worsened by high blood sugar hence the special diet. Plus lots of antioxidants will delay its development. So I take megavitamins for the eyes, eat lots of veggies, and try to avoid the carbs, although they are my favourite! lol I also always wear sunglasses outside, even on cloudy days. The rest is up to a higher being. (";)

I will add your Mom to my prayer list - every bit helps!

Hugs, Terry

Just wanted to let you know that I popped your "Moment in Fiction" swap for Cup and Chaucer in the mail today! :)

It's worth reading! I have enjoyed other Pulitzer winners more, but it's definitely up there! If the author hadn't've gotten distracted in wanting to tell everyone's story in great detail (and not just Oscar's), it wouldn't have been so all over the place - that's the only thing that I didn't like about it. It's got a little hint of magical realism though, for fun, and it's about a "ghetto nerd." Can't beat that!
