Hi, I'm Jackie. I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. And I love it! Finally completed my Bachelors degree three years ago (I'm in my early 50's). Poli-Sci, Int'l studies & Asian studies major.

Love to travel, this world is pretty amazing when you see it through anothers eyes.

I'm an avid reader, and have far too many books. I'm a serious genealogist, finding my roots in Wales, Denmark, Iceland and a few lines back to colonial times settling the Massachusetts Bay Colony.

I love seeing what others enjoy. A happy thought in the mail always makes my day.

I can't ever get enough music, a staple for my existence.

I sew, quilt, and do all kinds of handwork. Love to crochet, and wished I could knit, but my squares turn into triangles. Right now I am into repurposing vintage linens and handwork. FUN! I make pillows and aprons from 30's tablecloths, embellished with vintage doilies, old lace, and embroidery from old pillowcases, etc.

I still love to create my own embroidered dish towels and other items. I've delved into Brazilian embroidery, silk ribbon embroidery and heirloom embroidery/sewing. I can't seem to resist beautiful thread, would love sharing from my stash.

I have a fetish for pens, pencils and all writing/ drawing instruments. I enjoy using different and unique papers for writing letters & notes on.

Anything purple!!! I also love royal colors, blue, green, teal, and reds.

I collect thread, fabric,vintage fabric, linens, embroidery and lace.

Dark chocolate, herbal/flower tea & cookies make me happy. But not a coffee drinker.

I love old magazines, ads, and news from bygone days. I also collect stationery and unique paper.

I really enjoy seeing what you like, send me your favorites. Nothing like expanding my own little world, right? {but keep it clean, please :P}

I love any type of music, and am a self diagnosed concert addict! Have been to so many I can't count. Andrea Bocelli, Cold Play, Pitbull, Willie Nelson, Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi, The Who, Take That, Robbie WIlliams, Enrique, Radiohead and everything else in between. Old or new you name it.

Best concerts I've ever seen are those performed in Europe! Don't know exactly why but it's an experience like none other.

Right now loving Alternative Pop, Indie, anything along those lines. Imagine Dragons, Neon Trees, Kongos, Cage the Elephant.

I'm especially fond of the classics. I just love to curl up to a good book written long ago. My kids say I'm quite boring and not too fond of my selections. Political theory enthralls me, so you can see where they're coming from ;-)
