Okay, so I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself, no? My name is Jen and I'm 27 years old, and I've been into pen palling for sometime have also been swapping for quite a few years and look forward to getting something special in my mailbox =) So much better than getting bills!
I am happily married to my husband of one year, but have been with him for seven years I am really trying to make an effort to journal/art journal more. I love being creative and making something unique- I love scrapbooking items especially, and have had some fun with making handmade envelopes. I am making an attempt to try two new things that I have been telling myself I'll try 'sometime'. This year I will try making ATC's and Zentangles!
So for the majority of my life I have mostly listened to country music, but over the last year or so I have begun to look into more music and am very interested it. I definitely need to thank a few of my pen pals for helping me broaden my musical horizons- I would love any suggestions. Some of my favorites include: Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, The Fray, Colbie Calliat, Haley Williams, Josh Turner, Kate Voegele, Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, Savage Garden, Usher, Lady A, Jaron and the Long Road to Love, Lights, Gavin DeGraw, Bethany Joy Galeotti, The Ark, Hello Saferide, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals & more!
Some of my favorite books are: My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, The Pact by Jodi Picoult, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Cinder by Marissa Meyer, The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, The Choice by Nicholas Sparks, Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks, Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom, A Lesson Before Dying by Earnest Gaines, A Child Called it by Dave Pelzer, and the entire Women's Murder Club series by James Patterson. Favorite authors? Jodi Picoult, Nicholas Sparks, and James Patterson are my favorites. Love just about anything by them!
I am always looking for new recommendations, I enjoy classics as well, specifically anything Shakespeare, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and more.
I really don't watch very much TV anymore, it seems that I am too busy lately and when I do have the free time I am either writing, doing something crafty, curled up with a good book or watching a movie. When I do watch television some shows that I enjoy are One Tree Hill, Law and Order:SVU, Gilmore Girls, and Bones.
I love anything crafty, creative & handmade! Recently the things that have interested me the most are making things like handmade envelopes from children's books or scrapbooking papers, making little collages, and I enjoy altered/art journals.I have been looking a lot at some awesome photos of altered books and it inspires the creativity in me, so at some point I may try my hand there as well.
I used to journal all the time, and I've sort of fell out of it which is sad. I do a lot of letter writing, but I don't want that to be my only outlet so I think that I am going to either join a journaling challenge, or find a list of journaling prompts and get back into that. Unfortunately, I participated in this art journaling swap and sent out a journal and got flaked on by my partner. Not fun!
I am looking to do some crafty swaps as well if anyone is interested- I have this great craft store in town that I love and that is 100% for charity. I just love shopping there! I think that I want to try my hand at crocheting sometime in the future, but I am so intimidated by it!
The idea of making anything out of nothing inspires me to be creative =]
These are all things that I would love to receive in either a private swap, or as part of another swap. If you think that we would have a great swap, don't hesitate to contact me about it!

Hi Jen, I hope you´ve got the letter!!
Hi Jen,
I just got back from holidays and found your nice swap! Thx a lot, I really liked it! I am loaded with mail + I have quests right now (a penpal and another friend) so I´ll need some time to write back. Hugs, Bojana
Thx a lot Jen! I´ll be looking forward to it! :D
Ugh! I know how that goes!! It's ok. I've been super tired lately too. Long, long shifts at work makes me not wanna do anything! =(
niiice! i am super excited to get it!! =)
Cheers for the lovely postcard :) Seems a strange setting for a waterfall, I think that's what I like about it :) xx
Oh and how could I forget the deco tape! Thank you for that as well! I can not get enough of it!
Thank you for the postcard and kawaii memos for my June wishlist for the Happy Swap-Bot RAKs group. Too bad my post office is not very smart and decided to fold up the envelope instead of sliding it into my P.O. box.....it only got slightly bent though. So all good!
Oh and for the bottle cap magnets. I just punched out random things for the background. Filled in the bottle cap with glossy accents glue or whatever it is. Then added in buttons. I cut the loop on the backs off with a crafting knife so it would lay flat. Then put that on top and let it dry over night. Oh and then used the stinky 2000 or whatever glue to put the magnet on the back. Also for the color on the edge I just used plain permanent markers. All done!
I am SO looking forward your letter you sound awesome!! I'm so glad that I made that swap, too because I've met some wonderful people I probably wouldn't have!
