I'm back after a 10 year swap-bot hiatus. I miss snail mail and was excited to find that the site is still active! It even looks the same (with a place for a link to our myspace profile, ha!).
I live in the Northwest United States. I love food; cooking it and eating it. I like to make and create. I do a bit of drawing, metalsmithing, painting, collage. I play mountain dulcimer. I'm working on a quilt, and enjoy (yes) darning and mending, so can always use quilting needles, thimbles, and other quilting/sewing notions.
Notecards and postcards with vintage photos, woodcuts, art of all kinds are nice to get. Stamps, cancelled or unused. Stationery/ paper for letter writing, as I realized I have almost none. Pretty envelopes.
I like folk and outsider art, surrealism, all things weirdo, ephemera (especially vintage and foreign), vintage photos, a little bit of everything. I like old and unique things. I like handmade things.
TEA: I love tea; especially Taiwanese oolong. I work in a teahouse and have a ready supply, so for swaps I'm as interested in seeing the different packaging for teabags as I am in the teas themselves. For tea swaps my preference tends to be for an interesting herbal tea since I have so many high quality teas (made from the tea plant, camellia sinensis) already.
I collect natural treasures from my walks and rambles...a pretty stone, dried leaves and flowers, shells...even old bottle caps and rusty nuts and bolts. A natural or found artifact from another part of the country or world would make me happy indeed, especially if you tell me where it came from specifically. I will look it up on a map and make a tag for it!
Vegan..No Animal Products Please! Please only send sealed food and tea unless I've traded with you before. I am pretty trusting, but... I love baking and cooking. I love sweet. I love salty. I love spicy. I love to mix them up! My favorite sandwich that I make for me and me only is the following- peanut butter, hot sauce, lettuce, tomato, and agave nectar...that pretty much says it all.
I'm not going to be picky about 'free stuff' in the mail, but if you want to know....Pink isn't my favorite color unless it's faded and earthy. I don't need anything with Disney or similar imagery. I don't particularly like premade scrapbook-type cutouts and supplies, but can find a use for almost anything. I'm just putting this here because apparently my profile wasn't long enough for a recent swap ;)
