I am new to this hobby, so bear with me. I work at my local Wal-Mart in the ladies' and girls' clothing department, and I live with my boyfriend and our cat Lily. I have two children, who live out of state and visit me often. (This is all a long story, and has nothing to do with my mothering skills at all, before you ask--yes, some are probably rude enough to ask.)
I'm a Christian, but if you aren't, I certainly will respect your own beliefs too. I live a quiet life, and am a bit shy until you get to know me. I love to write letters, read, and take long walks or drives. I also play trumpet, though I don't get much chance to anymore.
I don't do a huge amount of swaps, mainly for financial reasons. I like to keep my life simple and inexpensive, so lately I have only been interested in writing/letter swaps. Again, postage gets expensive, and I won't sign up for something I can't afford to commit my time and money to.
The Bible, Anything by Erik Larson, Anne Morrow Lindberg, or Francine Rivers, otherwise the subjects of history, anthropology, and sociology interest me....and I do like good fiction once in awhile too!
The Office, The Soup, You Are What You Eat, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dead Like Me, How Dirty is Your House, Kitchen Nightmares
I'm not a very artistic or crafty person, but I love browsing flea markets for interesting things. So I look for swaps where I can easily find something neat on my little outings that fits the criteria (maybe old postcards, matchboxes, embroidered handkerchiefs, etc.)...sometimes you can find some beautiful handmade things there to swap also. Neat neat neat stuff :) I also have a weird fetish for office supplies...I love pens (Pilot G-2's and Uniball Signo's especially) in different colors, pretty paper to write letters on, and journals (moleskine books are the BEST).
As far as what you should send to me in a swap, I love getting mail...so it doesn't really matter what you send. If you happen to send something that relates to my profile, that is really nice of you. Otherwise, like I said..I love getting mail! Also, a nice note always brightens my day, no matter what is with it.
