i am a new mom who loves to craft, when i have time. knitting and sewing are my favorites right now. i would love to quilt some day but have not tackled that feat yet. most days i spend taking care of my daughter and my boyfriend but i sometimes work at our business. we own a small internet service provider in lawrence, kansas, usa. i love and collect audrey hepburn as well as hunter s. thompson items.

i love so many types of music...jazz, blues, rock, r 'n' b, even a little rap and hip hop. i am not much on country and usually only listen to classical in the car while trying to soothe the baby to sleep.

i read constantly. i love murder mysteries and true crime, also am going through a phase with parenting books, used to read the classics and i love history. i have tried scifi and fantasy with no real interest and i am not much for romance. i also have a love of crafting books: mainly knitting, christmas crafts, sewing, quilting, decorating. i also love craft magazines and subscribe to several.

knitting is my first love. i am starting to get into scrapbooking for my daughter and would love to learn to quilt. i studied visual merchandising and fashion design in college and love to decorate my house.

i am a total '80s fan, love the classics like sabrina and how to marry a millionaire. i have never been much for blood and guts but i do like a good horror film like the omen and cujo. i have a strange love for cheesy chick flics like hitch, circle of friends and that sort. i also like sex in the city. we do not have cable and get no local channels so there is no tv watching for me but i do rent some series like sex in the city or the sopranos. and we are totally addicted to heros.

i do not collect many things (other than projects waiting to be completed!) but i do enjoy knitting and crochet patterns (especially for children), and recipes for easy to cook meals (u.s only please, i can not convert from metric well). i have started to really enjoy a good cup of tea so if you have any (especially international) that you want to share i am interested. in my spare time i surf the internet for fun craft projects. i love a good chocolate in any form.

i am not a fan of kawaii or girly girl stuff. i do not like gold or pastel or country style items. i am not a fan of fruity candy or hot items like red hots. i do not cross stitch or needlepoint. i am not a fan of gaudy jewelry, perfume, or cheap makeup. nothing cute.

my home is decorated in browns, and other earth tones with a splash of ice blue for contrast. i love how to magazines about craft projects. i would love to receive parenting magazines, mystery novels, unscented candles, teas, good coffee, pastries, chocolate, christmas craft books, and sepia or black and white photographs. i am also working on a scrapbook for my daughter and could use any items or tips to help with that project. her room, and therefore scrapbook, is decorated in sage green and dusty rose pink. my favorite color is purple.

black, chai, or spiced teas (i have more herbal and fruity than i can drink right now). blank note cards. parenting magazines (finally have a subscription to parents now!). chocolate (you can never have enough of that). maps of your town. mystery novels. and i am on the lookout for chap stick that has sunscreen and a little color, for a fashionable mom on the go. i would LOVE to receive this. baby/toddler food recipes, and homesteading recipes. i am currently training for a 5k run so tips for this would be great.
