I am going through some personal difficulties right now. I am going to do my best to finish up the swaps I am in and then I have to take a little break for a while. I am sorry if this causes any inconvience to anyone. If I am a little late with things please bear with me, I will get it out as soon I can.
Wife and Mother of 3 children. I work in healthcare. Love animals (I have a dog and a turtle) and gardening and crafting. I knit and crochet, but prefer knitting. Knitting socks with double pointed needles is my favorite hobby, they're just so transportable. I prefer wooden and bamboo needles and hooks, but will also use plastic and aluminum needles for some projects. I prefer soft natural fibers (wools and cottons) to synthetic, I love kitchen cottons like peaches & cream and sugar & cream. I do however like to use acrylic yarn for afghans and items that will be washed frequently. I love to read a good book. Love a good love story or drama and a cup of tea in the winter with my warm knitted socks on my feet:). I also love knitting and or crocheting books and magazines especially interweave knits. Love reading twilight saga books. Stephenie Meyer is my new fave author. I am completely smitten with Edward Cullen from Twilight :D Also, wouldn't mind trying out some of Oprah's fave books. I love all tea and coffee (decaf only please) and all kinds of girly pampering stuff bath and body works, yankee candles, etc. I especially like the flavor of chai tea. I am diabetic, so I ask for sugar free items. I prefer softer scents (i.e. vanilla, apple cinnamon, citrus) to stronger scents like strong perfumes or colognes.
Favorite Hobbies are: knitting, crocheting, repurposing yarn, spinning yarn, painting, drawing, spending time with my children, Thrift store shopping, couponing (I prefer food coupons) since that is what I use the most of, once-a-month cooking,
classic rock, alternative rock, all kinds really except country ( and there is bit of that I like too) Especially Sara McLachlan, The Cure, Twilight, New moon Soundtracks
Lots, good dramas, Twilight, New Moon, The Piano, The Scarlet Letter, The Last Samurai, The Notebook, etc. Avatar, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption,
I like a good comedy too. Love to laugh. Stand up is my favorite. Me, myself and Irene!! I laugh just thinking about it.
Knitty Gritty, Oprah, Survivorman, Man vs. Wild, Out of the Wild: The Alaska expirement, The Tudors, Psychic Detective shows, Antiques Roadshow, monsterquest, Dogtown, The Locator, The Colony, Paranormal State, Ghosthunters, anything paranormal or paranatural, The Nostradamus Effect, anything about Nostradamus or the end times
Cigarette/Cigar smoke, Very bright and neon like colors, strong perfume smells (like the perfume"poison" actually makes me ill and always leads to headaches and vomiting, very scratchy yarns People that flake People that don't rate People that don't communicate if they are going to be late sending out swap items Black licorice flavor
Favorite color(for things I wear): Pink, mostly salmons, corals, soft pink and yes, bubblegum like pink For my home: Earthy colors (autumn colors, browns, rusts, apple green, deep reds, mustard, etc. My Livingroom & Diningroom are painted buttercream yellow, deep red/tan/green floral curtains My bedroom is painted taupe, with muted pink/red combinations, prints/stripes, etc. Kids Rooms sunny yellow, colonial like blue Kitchen is eggshell white (so any color goes in here) Sunroom: That is pinks and small amount of reds and whites. (Three season room only) Perfume scents that I like : Spring Fever by origins and Happy by Clinique In general: I love the smell of citrus, apple-cinnamon, pumpkin pie, banana bread, spring rain and fireplaces burning in autumn, fresh melon Anything to do with 12 steps Anything that makes me laugh A soft, luxurious yarn, handpainted or kettle dyed is my weakness Bamboo knitting needles and crochet hooks Used natural knitting needles and crochet hooks (like bone and ivory) I sometimes find these in thrift stores People that read profiles before swapping and put a little effort into swapping Teas, almost all kinds Black Pens that write well/smoothly Getting mail Handknit socks, especially merino superwash and cotton/wool/nylon blends Handcrafted items A good photo Artwork, many kinds, especially homemade Anything to do with gardening, esp. Vegetable gardening Anything to do with Nature Animals Butterflies Roses Fireflys popcorn Playing board games/card games Inspirational quotes Gardening...Seeds I could use would be mostly fast growing vegetables, cucumbers, asian beans, runner beans, chard, lettuce, greens, etc. and annual flowers , I am not so good at growing sunflowers but the smaller ones do ok here. (Tomatoes, eggplant and peppers take too long to grow here from seed in zone 6) I also prefer things that can grow on vines as I have limited space and I use trellis' and teepees a lot.
I have sent out every swap I have ever been in. I was late a couple of times (for health reasons, but let my partners know about it). If I do not receive anything from a swap partner within a few weeks of the deadline and I have heard nothing from them, I will post your user name here:
