My home is in the Great Smoky Mountains in Western North Carolina. My husband, "Cowboy" is the love of my life. We were married 6/17/94 in a little church called Dixie Park Full Gospel Baptist in Berea, KY.
We have three wonderful children [Austin (19), Ashley (17) and our newly adopted 32 month old baby boy]. We are also owned by 2 dogs, 2 cats and 1 kitten.
I am the oldest of four girls (and of all the grand-kids from mom & dad's families). I don't know what I would do without my wonderful sisters. Our ages range from 39 to 26.
I was raised the grand-daughter of a Southern Baptist Minister who is married to the best woman in the world. My Mamaw is the inspiration of my life.
My daddy became a preacher for Pentecostal Holiness Church when I was in high school. I called him a holy roller during this transition, but later grew spiritually closer to my daddy. He gave me a Bible when I got saved and put a note in it that says, "This book will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from this book." Although I have not read the entire Bible, I know wherein my faith lies.
September 27 my Daddy moved to Colorado Springs to attend a Bible College. We are so very proud of him. Seeing him pack up the house, sell most everything and drive away was really hard to do this month.
My current job is Program Assistant with a mental & behavioral health service. I work with the Assertive Community Treatment Team. I have a lot of experience over the years as I have worn many hats...what woman doesn't?
Historically I worked certified nursing assistant, fast food manager, family care homes, pharmacies, security guard, 9-1-1 dispatcher, administrative assistant, casino cashier and professional student.
August 1994: Berea College, KY - 2 quarters in the Nursing program.
January 2001 - May 2003: Southwestern Community College, NC - Health Information Technology, AAS.
May 2003 - August 2006: Southwestern Community College, NC - Classes toward my Associate In Arts College Transfer degree (still lack 2 classes).
August 2006 - August 2007: Southwestern Community College - Therapeutic Massage Diploma.
August 2007 - March 2012: I attended SCC; Liberty University, VA; Ashford University, AZ; and Western Carolina University, NC - Working on more courses toward my AA degree and my Bachelors in Psychology degree.
My educational goal is to have my Bachelor's Degree. One day my children will look at my life and need inspiration. I don't want to let them down. When they say they can't do something I can remind them of what I did while being a full time wife, mommy and foster mommy.

Heaven Is For Real (Ashley & I also saw the movie. We were able to follow it very close since we had read the book.)
We go through southern style sweet tea really fast in our house. Making it unsweet and adding sweetner, just ain't right. If I visit a restaurant with bad sweet tea, I won't go back for a while.
Fresh corn cut off the cob, green beans, mashed potatoes, okra & squash are a few garden veggies I love in season.
My favorite place to eat is a Japanese Steakhouse, and I love Outback Steakhouse (especially their baby green beans with a filet). We now have a Kobe Express in town. When it first opened, I visited at least 3 days a week. The workers have learned what we like. It is nice to talk with different ethnicities. They are from Vietnam.
I love CHOCOLATE. Dunkin Donuts has frozen hot chocolate like a slushy and Dairy Queen has a fudge, frozen hot chocolate milk shake.
I also love Worther's Original candies, grape gummies I received in a swap from Singapore, Nutter Butter cookies, and Oreo cookies to name a few.
I love country music, gospel, 80s rock, some oldies & some Christian alternative. I'm not into heavy metal, classical, jazz or bluegrass. A few of my favorite musicians/songs would include: George Strait, Rascal Flats, Hunter Hayes, Carrie Underwood, Reba McIntire, Jason Aldean, Conway Twitty, The McKameys, The Brooks Family (my family locally) and Nichole Mullins.
I love most chick flick movies, action & adventure and children's cartoon movies. A few of my favorites would include: An American Tale, The Lion King (all), Gran Turino, Fast & Furious (all), Cop Land, Hope Floats, Alvin & the Chipmonks, Ya Ya Sisterhood, The Gameplan (almost anything with The Rock in it), The Blindside, What Women Want, The Book of Eli, The Bounty Hunter, Finding Nemo & The Apple Dumplin Gang. We visit the Tiger Drive-in a lot in Tiger, GA.
TV Shows I love: Brothers & Sisters, Greys Anatomy, Rookie Blue, Desperate Housewives, Castle, Meet the Browns, American Idol, The Voice & America's Got Tallent.
I will swap with anyone even if a newby would like to get her ratings up to participate in more swaps. PM me if you would like to set up a personal one-on-one swap or even just looking for a penpal.
I will NOT flake on any of my swaps! If I am ever late for any reason, I will send a notice to the swap administrator and my person to send to. If you do not receive anything from me, please PM me and let me know before giving me a negative rating.
If I am ever late I will make every effort to notify you as to why and will send it!
September 8, 2014 - In the past few weeks/months, we have had a lot of changes take place in our lives. I signed up for a few swaps that seemed to have been flaked on; however, I have worked to rectify those swaps. I have notified each person as to the status of the swap and have even tried to make amends by sending something to make up for my tardiness. I remain with a few scars on my profile due to these flaws. One will notice that all of my other ratings are 5 with or without a heart. I enjoy swapping to have fun. I realize there are many people that do flake on their swaps and I can see where resentment will arise. I have not flaked on any swaps yet...even with them being late. Happy Swapping Friends!

Looks as if you've flaked on Movin' Along those FB's. From the comments of late, looks like this is not the first time you've flaked.
Thanks for your letter:) Will write you back soon.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for that wonderful package of goodies you sent to my sister. She loved it! That was so sweet of you! You're the best! :O)
