About Me

I've always been an artist and have done murals, faux finishes, portraits, etc. I'm new to ATC's and find I really like the challenge of working so small with the added bonus of sharing artwork with others. I'm new to Groups and Swaps but think it's just what I need right now to motivate me to do my own work. My real job is at a college in Chicago as an Academic Coordinator. I have a husband, five sisters, my mom and 12 nieces/nephews who all encourage and inspire me.

About Me

FAVORITE THINGS: colors green, black, red - that's what I wear, but I like most colors and combinations of color/patterns. Leonardo daVinci, John Singer Sargent (artist), Chicago and New York, uneven numbers, controlled clutter, vintage 50's fabrics, colors, designs. fall and winter. pizza, coca-cola, chocolate, cats, birds/owls, lions Barbie (vintage) and Tinkerbell (anything Disney), knitting, drawing, wandering through antique/thrift stores, flea markets, bookstores and Walgreens, buying fashion, interior, craft magazines and then cutting them all up, my iphone, my mac computer, my extra bedroom studio space

TV SHOWS: Law & Order (the original and CI), NCIS, Elementary, Sherlock Holmes on Masterpiece Theatre, Castle,Perception, Once Upon a Time, Revenge

BOOKS: science fiction (anything by David Eddings), murder mystery/courtroom dramas

MUSIC: Christina Aguilera, Harry Chapin, Eminem, Pink,Melissa Etheridge, Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Nickelback, Madonna, Kid Rock

So glad you like the Bird ATC's! I used stampbord for the green ATC, I inked the stampbord with alcohol inks first and then stamped it and embossed the stamped image. The other ATC I stamped and then used copper and black embossing powder and then coloured the card with pastels. Hope you enjoy the choccy :)
