I am a children's & young adult librarian in rural Vermont. I live with my husband, our cat & dog and 11 chickens, all of whom have names. I enjoy crocheting octopi in my spare time. My favorite colors are blue & green and I'm allergic to artificial sweetener. I'm not religious (but I am tolerant of others' beliefs), I support animal rights and I think literacy can solve most of the problems we face. I enjoy swimming, cooking, painting my toenails fanciful colors, reading comic books in the yard and gardening. My favorite fruit is mango.
I enjoy making amigurumi animals (especially octopi) & doing counted cross-stitch. When I feel emotionally up to it, I crochet memorial afghans for my deceased cats.
I like to read (in no particular order): Old-school science fiction (think Ray Bradbury from the 1940s),Fantasy, Horror, Young Adult novels, Terry Pratchett, Charles Dickens, John Steinbeck, William Faulkner, Esther Averill, Stephen King, Cheesy romance novels (in moderation), Comic books & graphic novels, Neil Gaiman, Jim Butcher
The Great Escape, Robin Hood (the Disney version with the foxes), Fight Club, Casablanca, Campy horror movies, & I adore zombie movies.
Bones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Daria, Angel, Futurama, Firefly, The X-Files, Sherlock, The Walking Dead, Foyle's War, Twin Peaks
I enjoy music in general and will give anything a listen at least once.
I adore tea, especially fruity teas but I can only drink decaf (doctor's orders, sorry). Also, I'm allergic to artificial sweetener of all sorts - it gives me wicked migraine headaches.
Sorry to be difficult.
