I live in the US in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Despite the cold winters, I love it here. My favorite view is looking out my backyard at the lake.
I live with my husband, my 13 year old son and my disabled mom. I recently re-entered the workplace...back to retail. I know a lot of people hate their retail jobs, but I really thrive on it. I guess it helps that I have amazing co-workers. We are like one big family.
My grandmother was a music teacher and instilled a love of all music in me. I've tried my hand at clarinet, piano, tenor sax and guitar...I can't play any of them!! But my first love is 80's glam rock/hairbands. We always have Motley Crue, Poison, Cinderella, Bon Jovi, Ratt, Skid Row, etc blaring.
I love Stephen King and have read almost all his books. Uusually I'm reading books dealing with the paranormal and occult.
I love to crochet. I do a little knitting, but not really very good at it. I've recently started making very simple earrings and rosaries.

There really isn't much I don't like...lol! Patchouli makes me sick to my stomach though.
We have a small zoo here...lol! I have an elderly Alaskan Husky named Jazz. She is a retired sled dog. She's now going blind in one eye and is much happier lounging. Sebastian is a nearly 1 year old black lab/golden retriever I got for myself for Valentine's Day. He is my wild child...but one of the sweetest dogs ever. Nick the Fish is my beta. My mom lives downstairs with her furbabies. Dakota is my old beagle girl...she was my 18th birthday present. She's deaf and going blind. Mariah is her min pin and a total pain in my butt...lol! Jesse and Jumbae are her two cats...littermates and best friends.
First and foremost I'm mom to a wonderful 13 year old son, though I still can't believe he is a TEEN now! He is homeschooled...repeating 6th grade after years of being failed by our school system. He can be a challenge...ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder and a learning disability in reading and writing. He loves music, art (draws all thetime), wrestling, video games, animals, etc.
My husband and I have known each other for 18 years and he is my best friend. While not legally married, we had our own private ceremony Oct 29th of this year and plan to be official 10/29/12. He's a jack of all trades and master of none...lol! In the 80's he was the guitarist in a hairband so music is HUGE with him. Then a few years ago he became an OTR trucker and trainer, but not following his dream of being a business owner. We run a small business making decorative concrete pieces as well as selling hydroponically grown veggies and herbs. He is an amazing man and has helped me grow in so many ways.
My mom lives downstairs from us. She is a retired nurse and has a slew of health issues. She is diabetic, has a heart condition and has mobility issues. Although it can be hard at times, I will care for her at home until God calls her home. She has always been there for me and this is the least I can do for her. Besides, she is my other best friend!! :)
My hubby's name is Duane. I have some info on him above, but probably not enough for a swap...lol! No, I do NOT want to actually swap him...I'm pretty attached! :)
He is a jack of all trades and master of none. He would love anything 80's (rock, toys, etc), kitchen towels (seriously...he never has enough), anything trucker related, Dunkin Donuts gift card, anything Boston (that's where he is from), stuffed animals ( he WILL name them). His favorite sports teams are New England Patriots and Boston Bruins....not much into baseball or basketball, but he still is all about the Celtics and Red Sox. Tedy Bruschi and Cam Neely are his heroes...lol! Oh yes, and he practically lives at Lowe's and Home Depot...lol!

Mira, I previously rated you on Nov. 30 for the beautiful X-mas Stocking in the Mail. I opened each individually wrapped gift on Christmas Day and wanted to thank you for such darling gifts. You have no idea how excited I was to receive the tape measure - I've said so many times that I'd like one to carry with me in the car in case I need to measure something before I buy it. The dishcloth britches are so clever - I've never seen anything like this. You must have read my profile that I love xmas & halloween items year round - I love the precious xmas journal, the beautiful snowflake ornament and the halloween stemps & ink pad. If I could give you infinite hearts, I would. Have a wonderful new year and may you find your mailbox full of good cheer throughout the year of 2012.
