I'm 33 and have two kids-- a 3 1/2 yo girl and a 6 mo boy (as of 11/07 anyway!). I am a (currently retired) Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse. I recently moved to Madison, WI from Philadelphia. We love it here!
I have Tivo so I watch a lot of craft shows on "fast forward" like Simply Quilts, Crafters Coast to Coast, Quilt in a Day etc. I secretly love reality programming like Survivor and Amazing Race and Super Secretly LOVE America's Next Top Model, Project Runway and Big Brother. On the record I like 30 Rock, Big Love, Cold Case, Grey's Anatomy etc. I sincerely miss Sopranos and Six Feet Under. Wow, that's a lot of TV!

Well, first and foremost I love fabric. I love quilting, sewing clothes (altering/ embellishing store bought clothes too), sewing toys and gifts, pretty much everything fabric. Check my blog (nkdolin.blogspot.com) for recent projects. Sadly, with two small kids I don't have much time for complicated projects but I'm stockpiling ideas-- I have so many and no time!
I love Amy Butler, Kaffe Fasset, Heather Bailey and Moda fabrics. If I had all the money in the world I would buy all their fabric without even seeing it first!
I use a lot of flannel for baby quilts and appreciate anything cute- but preferably no licensed characters unless that's specifically what I'm working on. My daughter loves "kitties, hearts, princesses and jewels" according to her. She won't wear anything unless it's pinky-purple and VERY twirly. My son has no preference... yet!
I have a short attention span and will work in different crafting arenas for a few years and then switch to something different. I have spent time making mosaics and scrapbooking-- both of which have similarities to quilting, don't you think? I firmly believe that quilting is my life-long craft. I have also done some knitting and other paper crafts as well.
I also enjoy cooking and go through periods where I spend my time cooking instead of crafting. I'm a vegetarian. I love to cook but not to bake. If you're sending me a recipe, I love vegetarian ethnic food (middle eastern, asian, african, south american etc.), pasta, soups and stews, anything with seitan (it's a vegetarian thing!), salads and dressings, pressed sandwiches, etc. I'm getting hungry just thinking about food! I don't like recipes with hard-to-find items-- if I can't get the item at the regular grocery or Whole Foods then I won't get it! And, this is important-- just because I'm a vegetarian doesn't mean I eat healthy. I like healthy recipes (Cooking Light is a favorite magazine) but I like all kinds of stuff! Thanks!
