About Me

I was born in Indonesia. I lived in some cities in Indonesia and Japan. Currently I reside in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with some friends and our cats. But, next year I'll move to another city (or perhaps another country) again after I get my university degree :)

I am an avid reader since I was a kid. I read a lot of books, but my favorite genre is fantasy ;) In my vacant time, I enjoy cooking and making paper craft. I want to do more crafting since my Mom is really good at it and she makes a lot of pretty things, but I guess I don't have much time to do that.

I collect many kind of postcard, souvenirs, and bookmarks from other countries. I myself enjoy making bookmarks from washi papers and sometimes send them to my friends :)

Favorite Books

I love fantasy books. My favorite is The Lord of The Rings :D

Other than fantasy, I adore Roald Dahl's books and book with pictures like The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. That book is amazing ;)

Favorite Music

I'm an eclectic person when it comes to music ;) I like many genres of music, as long as it's not heavy metal.

Favorite Television

The Big Bang Theory :D

Favorite Movies

I'm crazy about The Lord of The Rings. Perhaps I already watched it like 20 times or more.

I also like The Godfather, Inception, and some Japanese Movies such Departure and Confession.

Likes/Dislikes

Likes : postcards with city view, books, vintage stuffs, cute Japanese stuffs (but not too cute things, it doesn't match my image, lol), washi paper, black and white photos, unfocused photos, blue, black, coffee, tea, cats, dictionary, bookmarks, bicycle, Doraemon, magnets, vegetarian recipe, wizard and snow dome.

Dislikes : rats, pigs, alcohol, religious items, chick lit (though some of chick lit I've read are relatively okay), doll, clown, pink, purple and princess stuffs.

If you haven't received any

As I live far away, it may take more time for my packages to arrive on your mailbox. Usually it will take 2-8 weeks for package to arrive if you live in Europe, Canada, or USA and 2-5 weeks if you live in North East Asia region and Australia.

For postcard and flat mail, normally, a postcard to Europe and North American region will take 14-22 days. But for some cases, a postcard to Finland or Japan can be delivered for 12 days, though one country is in Europe and another is in North East Asia (which closer to Indonesia). And to Canada sometimes it only takes about 10 days.

So please, be patient :) I always do my swap wholeheartedly and send them before the deadline. You can contact me to ask about your package if you haven't received it. I'll resend the package if I need to.

Wish-list

Postcards of food (never got something like that)

Postcard with book cover as its picture.

Postcard of Royal Wedding.

Postcard of Tsar family.

Gotochi postcard.

Magnets.

Bookmarks. I'm crazy about bookmarks.

Tea. I only can find jasmine tea here :p

Any books from Sherman Alexie (it's not sold here T_T)

Etc.

I'll be glad if you don't send me:

  • edible things, except for tea or coffee.

  • religious items. Yes, I follow a religion, but I don't want to receive any religious items, even from my own religion. I can manage my religious aspect well. So, thanks.

  • skin care or make up. I have a sensitive skin.

  • crafty packages, such as yarns or scrapbook sets. I will not use them, currently I only do papercraft and all I need is good washi papers.

  • ATC, stickers and stuffs. I don't dislike them, but it's hard to manage them as I often move places.

Comment: Thank you for the very nice postcard and lovely note! I got my degree in English, so I know what you mean about not having much to do with the degree. I have a job now, but I will have to go to grad school so I can get a better paying job and have a career. Hopefully good things will come to you! Good luck with the rest of your undergrad schooling! :-)

Comment: Thanks for the *wonderful* market card. I *love* market cards! (May I be a little superstitious and say it arrived because we corresponded?!!)
Response: I'm happy that you got it. Thanks for the rating and heart :) Fun fact : some people get their cards a day after they corresponded with me. I guess it can be said as 'postcards superstitions" :D

Comment: What a beautiful post card, thank you so much. Things like dance and music would never be successful without both sides- people who can perform them and people who can appreciate them. Each are equally important. International relations sounds interesting. Languages are always a good thing to know. I studied French and Spanish in school and Latin and Italian on my own. Unfortunately without regular use it's challenging to keep them.
Response: Thank you for the rating and heart :) I also studied Italian on my own, but I forgot most part of it. It's just as you said, it's hard to keep it because I don't use it regularly. I just hope that my English and Japanese will not share the same fate as my Italian.

Comment: This is my first card from Indonesia! Great and thanks! Here we have western and eastern festival, and I think we have a festival similar to yours, it's the Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as moon festival or moon cake festival). This festival is coming, it's on 12th Sep this year, which is my favourite festival. The purpose is not to worship any god, but a day we have full moon and gathering with friends and relatives, children love to play the lanterns together that night. =)
Response: Thanks for the rating. I'm happy that you like your first postcard from Indonesia :D So, the festival is next week right? It must be nice. I should try to visit HK one day to see the festival.

Thank you for the lovely ICE Show me your country tag package! The batik mirror is beautiful, but it seems the customs have taken away the puppet (the envelope was scotch-tape sealed). Kind regards from Slovenia!
