I'm so glad I was introduced to Swap-Bot but I still feel like a newbie so please have some patience. I've been very vigilant about making sure I have the time and materials for swaps before I join and super vigilant about shipping or emailing things out as soon as possible.

I was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in Chicago. I'm nerdy, like cute things (though not in the pink kind of way), and enjoy making things. I'm in my late thirties and happy to be there. I'm equally likely to visit a particle accelerator (Fermilab) as well as knit a baby blanket for a friend. My husband and I have decided not to have children and I also don't eat animals. I also sometimes wish I had been born Catholic in the union loving, helping underprivileged people kind of way. My husband is a straightedge vegan and a member of the IWW.

I'm not as hardcore as all this sounds but profiles tend to bring out the extremes in people. I used to have blue hair. I have a cat and two dogs. I know a little bit about a lot of things but not a lot about anything. Did I mention I like making things? I have visible tattoos that I still hide from my mother. I'm a lapsed Protestant, reformed Korean. Bottom line: I'm a misanthrope with a heart for social change. It's a hard description to live up to. :)

I am a handcrafted bar soapaholic. I love all kinds of bar soap from French brands like L'Occitane to the little samples you get at the Ren Faire that smell like patchouli. No lye soaps please. Veg only

I'm also a 1" button freak. I will shell out dollars and dollars for cute or funny or ironic buttons. My most treasured is one that says, "Hermits Unite!" which I think is HILARIOUS. :)

In terms of Swap-Bot swaps, I like too many things:

Animals: red foxes, fennec foxes, actually, anything foxes, cats, baby sloths, river otters, hedgehogs, porcupines, baby goats, lambs

Colors: Gray/Green, Teal/Coral, Red.

Fabric: Anything linen, cotton, lawn, voile, woven, Kokka, Amy Butler, Joel Dewberry, Heather Ross, etc

Always on the lookout for various ephemera and things I can scan into my computer and make a shrink art out of.

I will give anything science fiction or fantasy a chance. Just one though. :)
