Note: I am in graduate school, so I don't have time to participate in as many swaps as I used to. The ones I do participate in I will give 100% to. :)
I put lots of thought and effort into all of my swaps. I take swapping seriously and hate when people flake.
I rate the day I get something and I try to mail things the day partners are assigned. (This isn't always possible but I always send on time.) I always send, so if you haven't gotten something it is an issue with the mail and I will resend. (I have been having more post office issues of late and it is very frustrating.)
l love history and teaching. (I teach 6th grade history. Please no "teacher" stuff though. My classroom is decorated in a wacky way to match my personality and has no apples.)
If you didn't notice by my screen name I love to sing. I love all kinds of music but choral music has a special place in my heart.
I love Peanuts (as in the cartoon, although the food isn't bad.) Linus is my favorite character.
I love ocean life. Not so much beach scenes, but underwater reefs, creatures, and such. It's my favorite thing to draw, and create. I find that world so beautiful and unique.
My favorite color is PURPLE!!! But I also love blues, teals and greens. Any cool color really.
Things I like in no particular order: Sweets, purple, cats, singing, random t-shirts, comfy clothes, Gay Pride, coffee, ginger ale, anything that contains ginger (tea, scones, cookies), laughing, games (mah jongg, Banagrams, Settlers of Catan, Apples to Apples), owls, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie are my favorites), scarves, Norway (my family is from there), Mexican Culture, Julie Andrews, stories (esp. those with strong female characters), and much more.
I graduated from Texas A&M (whoop!) and love Aggie football. I'm also a Texans and Astros fan. Football and baseball are the only sports that I enjoy watching.
My sweetie loves peacocks, rainbows, sci-fi, ATCs, charms, making jewelry and Doctor Who.
I collect button pins (not buttons for sewing.)
If I am cooking at home it is mostly vegetarian and dairy free. I can adapt most recipes to be dairy free, but I would appreciate vegetarian recipes. :)
Doctor Who (Donna is my favorite companion and I love the oods), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, The Big Bang Theory, Star Trek Next Generation, Raising Hope, 30 Rock, The West Wing, Full House, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Gilmore Girls, Full House, The X-Files, Veronica Mars, Boy Meets World, Vintage Nickelodeon Shows (Doug, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Salute Your Shorts, Ren and Stempy), Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain. PEANUTS!!!!
Crochet, Cross Stitch, Drawing, Painting. I love being crafty and trying new things!
I love music! The only music I don't like is country and contemporary Christian music. (I do like traditional hymns.) Other than that, I'll usually like it.
Small trinkets for a curio cabinet
Sea Creature art (anything with a jelly fish, turtle, reef, penguin, dolphin, clown fish....)
Ginger flavored candy/food
Music/Choir themed Items
Ferris Wheel Themed Items
Mexican Candy (Especially fruity/chili candies)
MLP:FiM stuff (Especially Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy)
anything from other cultures/countries/religions (Please no Christian things. see dislikes below)
Random t-shirts (hand me downs are ok) Size Mens L-XL
Anything Rainbow or Pride related
Packages that have thought put into them
Teacher themed stuff (especially apples)
Not a fan of kawaii
violent or horror shows/movies/themes,
anything with perfume or strong smells. (I'm allergic)
Notecards and other loose paper
PLEASE don't send anything religious. I do not like religious swaps and do not appreciate getting unsolicited religious items.
I LOVE to read. I have been really into audiobooks lately because of time. Fantasy and Historical fiction are my favorite genres, but if it's a good story I will like it.
Some of my favorites include: Charlote's Web, Dresden Files, Harry Potter, Edgar Allen Poe, YA Fiction (Not Twilight!!! Bleh!), any dystopian fiction, almost any fantasy or related themes.) I have recently discovered Ann Patchett and have read both Bel Canto and State of Wonder and loved both of them.
