i love reggae, samba, indie rock, salsa, afrobeat, world music, hip-hop...

some favorites are the white stripes, antibalas, ben harper, arctic monkeys, the roots...

i'll read anything but i especially love anything surreal.

amélie, babel, snatch, the edukators, y tu mama tambien, little miss sunshine, love actually, the bourne identity, blood diamonds...

Favorite Television

i don't have a tv at home but when i get the chance i'll usually watch comedy.

wishlist

I'm not much of a materialist, nor much of a crafter (except for collaging, which I love). I'd most love to see someone put thought into a swap...

but here are some things I'd love to get in the mail:

the following are always fantastic: tea bags, mix CDs, memorabilia in foreign languages and alphabets,postcards, notebooks, stationary (nothing cutesy!), airplane magazines, fsahion magazines, travel magazines, things representative of everyday life in places around the world, samples of organic shampoo & bodycare products etc., crossword puzzles, word games, pens & markers, chocolate!

Not only did I get a list of the things you wanted to do before you die but you went amazingly out of your way to send the things for my scrapbook about your part of the world. I have always dreamed of coming to Brazil and this just made me want to come all the more! This is especially special to me due to my bad health and the fact that I may never get to travel - that is why I am making a scrapbook from around the world of things sent to me about their part of the world. The paper book(is tha a zine?) you put together with all the photos and your writing will always be treasured by me. I can't thank you enough for bringing Brazil to me. You truly are a kind hearted person that I believe will do #37 on your list of things you want to do before you die: I think this because you have already made the world in better shape then when you entered it. Thanks for your truly giving spirit and all that you did for me!
