I do clerical work to feed my fabric habit. I've done nearly every kind of needlework but my "one true love" is machine sewing. My sewing room is referred to as "The Mercantile" by family and friends - but is closer to qualifying for federal disaster funds when I'm in the midst of a creative frenzy. Married for 34 yrs and counting to the nicest man on the planet. We have grown twin sons. The boss of the house is Mr. Robert Burns, a 4 yr old Scottish Terrier nicknamed Burnsie.
Jazz, Oldies [oh but it breaks my heart to call the 60-70's that], classical.
Medium, NCIS, Desperate Housewives, Monk, Psych, History Channel, Meerkat Manor, Star Trek reruns [so campy], how-to shows, Shark, House, CSI
Quilting, embroidery, knitting, crochet. I love counted cross-stitch but find that it takes too long to see the end result and I'm a goal-oriented person.
In fabric: 30's fabrics, bright & bold colors/patterns like yellow/blue/red, reproduction fabrics In collectibles: anything "scottie", sewing machine-themed items Colors in my home: sage green, navy blue, burgundy, cream
Disaster movies (e.g., Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, Twister), Out of Africa, Father of the Bride, Moving, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles. Don't go out to the movies - prefer to see them at home without makeup and in my jammies.
Fat quarters Tea cozies Totes Notions Just about anything quilt related
Mysteries, Janet Evanovich, Iris Johansen, Michener, Tamar Myers. Not a fan of romance novels.
This is a picture of a quilt I made as a gift for my best friend. Of course, Rita the Wonder Cat, my friend's cat, has laid claim to it.

Your house sounds like mine. My Scottie gets all excited when I sew because she likes to dress up and thinks I am makingher new clothes! She is a rescue and I think her first owner must have used her as a doll!
I hope you liked the zipped bag I made you, please rate me when you get back on line.
