I am retired and finally have time to do all the things I didn't have time for while raising my sons. Took a trip to Paris and fell in love with that beautiful city and I'm trying to figure out how I can go back because once is not enough. I still haven't seen the countryside.
Love to read. Just finished all the Jane Austen novels. Some of my favorites books are written by Edith Wharton and the Bronte sisters. Angelas Ashes touched my heart. Portrait of Dorian Gray,The Diary of Samuel Pepys, Le Miserable, The Great Gatsby. I love romance novels, mystery and just about anything classic. I love reading Fairy Tales and especially Grimm's fairy tales and Anderson fairy tales. There are just too many to mention here. Time set aside just before bedtime. I enjoy reading until my eyes just won't stay open any longer.
Ah movies! Out of Africa, Dr. Zhivago, Gone with the Wind and all the old Doris Day, Clark Gable and Rock Hudson movies. I absolutely adore kids movies. Old black and whites. Any thing with the Hepburns Audrey or Katherine, Fred Astaire and Betty Grable. Chic flicks to wipe away cobwebs, anything with Paris as a back ground and epics. Love current movies anything but horror and science fiction.
I knit, make quilts, doll clothes, ATC's, cards and wallpaper doll dresses. Everything by hand.... no sewing machine. I love making altered books, also scrap booking. I love to cook and bake, is it a craft if you are great at it? Just about all paper crafts. I especially like vintage ATC swaps.
Music.....anything classical....some rock. Really like the oldies from way back when....... love pop.... big band..... but you can skip rap. Love opera and just about any thing Josh Groban sings and Susan Boyle., Neil Diamond, and some country.
Linen even when it wrinkles, summer breezes, sandy beaches, old buttons and lace, china tea cups, anything vintage, vintage and vintage, honesty, humor but most of all loyal friends.....I love pastels especially pink but love the jewel tones also. It depends on what it is. Black and white appeals also. Lockets, hand made things, old treasures passed down, and old keys, people who smile and crochety old folks. I'm a sucker for kids with an angle.
I love just about everything on Masterpiece theater, old reruns, Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, and Project Runway. Big Bang Theory cracks me up and love Three and a half men. Don't care much for reality tv.

Oh sweetie, if I recall correctly, that is 140 lb watercolor paper sprayed with Walnut Ink in the Walnut color. After I sprayed the ink on the card I take a damp sponge and spread out the ink evenly. That is the majority of that background I believe, if you need more info just pm me! I am so glad you liked the card! :-)
