I was born in 1970 and live with my husband in the North West of England. I am a lawyer practising family law and also do a lot of lecturing and conference speaking and writing (law books, articles and even a novel in progress). I am an avid quilter and fabric stasher and have just started dressmaking lessons. I can get overexcited about researching travel arrangements on the Internet and I love to read. I can bake and cook quite well but am rubbish at shopping for ingredients so don't do it as often as I should. I like African themed art and fabrics. Some other random things I like are: chocolate (but not so much dark even though I know it is better for me, although I am trying totrain my tastes in that direction) flavoured teas, Oprah Magazine, Indian food, exploring exotic cities, silk, rye bread, bags, elegant afternoon teas and blank journals. I like to explore markets and foreign supermarkets. Random things I dislike are coffee, nuts, crying babies on flights, being cold, frilly/fussy/tacky souvenir type things and orchestral music. I am interested in Jewish affairs, the lives of Muslim women, and South African matters. When I have more time I will learn more about the architecture of Norman Foster and Daniel Liebskind and will knit a jumper. My favourite colours are in the autumn rage and African colours - ochres, browns, golds, greens that kind of thing although I like to chuck in deep fuschia pinks and the odd bit of lime green to jazz things up! I have started to collect Japanese fabrics and have just found out that you can actually buy Jewish themed fabric on-line( not in the UK as far as I know) which has to be my next collection!
South African, and a whole range of stuff including ( at random) Dixie Chicks, Bach, Texas, Placido Domingo, Bruce Springsteen, Norah Jones, Katie Melluah, Van Morrisson....
Pretty Woman. Notting Hill. Romancing the Stone. American President (i.e slushy stuff with Julia Roberts or Michael Douglas) Full Monty.
West Wing, Friends, Frasier, ER, Grays Anatomy.

Thankyou so much for the most gorgeous handmade bag in the Give and Receive swap! I feel so bad that you were making it whilst you were ill as well. Thanks also for hosting such a fabulous swap! :)
I am soooo glad you liked the package. That was definitely one of my very favorites to put together. Every time I was at the store I would see "just one more thing" that I had to have!! Thank you so much for the 5 and the heart!
You host some of the most creative swaps I've ever seen on SwapBot. Hope you around for a long, long time. :-)
