If you are wondering why I am late for a swap, please read this thread. I apologise to my partners, and hope you can understand!
Although my name is Lulu, I go under the alias 'Ayii' because it has been so since for many years now!
I'm an 18-year-old University student studying English Lit. in London, UK. I work part time in a branch of a book store chain.
I collect thimbles, magic-related items and the odd dolphin item.
Although I don't come across girly most of the time, I do like girly things, like Anime/Manga, earrings etc. (I do like pink, and some kawaii things).
I love to read. Anything. Be it book, magazine or even the back of a shampoo bottle, I'll read it. My house is crowded with text, and so is my work. Just the way I like it.
I absolutely hate cockroaches, mosquitos and heights. And the horror of...Mould. Eugh. (Yes, it's become a phobia).
My favourite colours are blue, orange, cream, turqiouse and sage green, but I don't like marroon or mustard.
I have a strange addiction to male ties and often find myself attached to books. My main hobbies, other than any listed above, are running, abstract-art painting, trying (and failing) to learn to knit, and photography.
I am a great appreciator of all kinds of art and poetry. However, although I sometimes give people pointers on work, I do not deem myself good enough to critique.
I believe in the Chaos Theory, a.k.a. The Butterfly Effect (which is also a film). I am interested in philosophy, psychology and the human mind. I also would like to become linguistic one day, probably in Arabic, because it was a language I knew as a child.
Things I like recieving are ATCs (blank ones too), scraps, ribbons, sweet things, tea bags, articles/magazines, beads and random little trinkets. I'm easy to please, I promise!
I collect thimbles, and love any kind of art. :)

The Fray, Alanis Morissette, Garbage, Liz Phair, The Beatles and Apocolyptica. Of course, I like other things, but there are too many to list. Genres...I like Rock/Pop, Indie, Alternitive, Blues and sometimes a little Grunge. I often find myself hooked on classics.
I also listen to jazz and instrumental music on occaisons. I'm open to new styles, but prefer to stay out of the way of R 'n' B, Hip Hop, Garage, Urban etc. etc.
The Butterfly Effect, The Green Mile, Kill Bill, Romeo and Juliet. I like rom/coms, physchological thrillers, but I do not see the entertainment value of horrors.
Futurama, HEX, Open All Hours, Mock of the Week, Keeping Up Appearances, My Family, Only Fools and Horses, Dharma and Greg amung other things. I do like Comedy, but only a certain type (mostly dry humour is my thing. Oh, and classic comedy). I sometimes enjoy shows with a dark side (like Hex) and of course, who can beat the genius that is Matt Groening?
My favourite books are those by Jodi Picoult. I espeically like Keeping Faith and The Tenth Circle. I like other books such as; Always The Sun, A Clockwork Orange, 1984, and I sometimes like classics like Alice in Wonderland and The Hobbit. As you can see, I like a varity things. My favourite genres include romance, true-to-life style and fantasy. Sometimes the odd bit of comedy.
Cake baking and greeting cards. ATC making. I'd also like to start making felt creations, but don't have nearly enough time! I'd also love to try out jewelerry making - I have enough beads, but not enough time/money.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your Brother. My heart goes out to you and your family.
???? Since you are in London and have knowledge of fragrances and work in a store--could you find out if the perfume (although it was a cheapy) "Oh d London" by Yardley is still being made and sold???? I LOVED that in the 1960's. I know where to find Yardley Lavander scented soap and lotion and their oatmeal and almond stuff--but, can not find anywhere that carries my favorite. It was a light scent with jasmine and clover in it.?????? If you can find it, let me know and we can put together some kind of one on one swap with it!! Thanks!!!!
I received your lovely bracelet today. Thank you so very much...I had forgotten about it and working a long day, it was a welcome surprise. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for the lovely package of patterned cardstock you sent me, Ayii! I also loved the angels images!! It was really adorable of you to include those too! :-D
I am so happy you loved your parcel Kara x
