Intrigued by zines? Love collecting them? But made one before? Always wanted to? Here’s your chance!

I, too, have never made a zine before, and would love to - but I just don’t know where to start! There are plenty of tutorials online, but I’ve never had enough courage to take ‘the plunge’. But, I thought, if I found others just like me, how weren’t too sure what they’re doing (I’ve only ever read a couple of zines before!), I thought it could be fun.

You’ll have one (1) partner, and all you have to do is make one (1) zine! It can be handwritten (make sure it’s legible!), typed, photocopied etc. Whatever you like! Make it whatever size, too. At least 12 pages, it can follow any theme you like!

I’ve given you a month to do it, because it may take a few tries to get the zine right! For hearts, why not try to do a zine that follows your partners interest?

Now, this is an international swap, anyone with a rating 4.5 and over, with no more than 2 no sends, or recent ones, unless it’s under unfair circumstances (I’ll be checking!). Newbies are more than welcome as long as they have a filled in profile.

Wow, this is really surprising, I JUST created my fisrt zine. If I create another one pretty soon (ie before I send it out), is it ok if I send my second zine?

Can I ask a stupid question? What is a zine? I have never heard of it. I am in Australia, so it might not be known here. I dont know. Any info would be great. Thanks, Sam.

this looks like fun! i used to make these type things when i was a little kid. i had a monthly" dog newspaper journal" but i haven't thought about doing it actually seriously. i love collaging.. but never thought i'd have much of an audience for my own zine. oh well. atleast my partner will read it. lol. i think if i have fun doing this. i'll come out with my own. yay!

I can't figure this out from the directions...where do you sign and date it? Title page? last page? inside front cover? (By the way, mine is turning out so cool I don't want to send it...guess I'll just have to scan a copy for me)

Heidec: I suppose you can sign and date it any where you want. I put mine on the very back of the zine. Its up to you.
