By day I'm a teacher. When I'm not working, I knit. A lot. I also read- favourite authors are Neil Gaiman, Diana Wynne Jones, and Jim Butcher. And knit. And do creative writing. And did I mention the knitting? I also love a good hot bath, especially with good bubble bath/bath bombs. Oh, and I love to cook! Good thing too, because my other half can only cook 3 things- my proudest cooking achievement was the wedding cakes for two friends last year.

Scissor Sisters, Ben Folds (Five), Johnny Cash, jazz songs (which I sing along to), and beyond that, a wide ranging and eclectic taste that ranges from 70s disco to Country and Western.

Serenity, Strictly Ballroom, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Ladykillers, Kind Hearts and Coronets, The Princess Bride, Saved!, State and Main, 80s John Hughes movies.

Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy, Angel, Ultraviolet, Eureka, Supernatural, 24, Stargate, House...umm- might be faster to say I'm a geek. I'm a BIG geek.

Knitting, crochet, baking (does that count?) sewing. But knitting is the real big passion. I love any kind of yarn, but put it this way- Etsy is like crack for me. I love, love LOVE variegated sock yarns, and lust after Lisa Souza, Socks that Rock- the usual ones. My favourite colour is purple (obviously), but for yarn, aside from any kind of berry colourway, I love any pretty variegated yarn, especially in bright, vibrant colours.
