My name is Heather, I am married and have been married for the last two years to my husband Dave who serves in the United States military. We are both originaly from the southeastern part of the United States, he is from Alabama, I am from Florida. For now we are stationed in Colorado Springs, CO. I am also a mother to my wonderful 7 month old son, Josiah and I suppose to my golden retriever Bear. Anyway I am excited to become a memeber, I have many crafting blogs that are in my favorites and they are always posting swaps. I think it will be a great way to meet new people, maybe lifetime friends and finally have someone to pass off some of my creations to or thrift/garage sale finds. May the Lord bless. You can e-mail with any additional questions if you would like to know anything else about me.
I am a Christian, so one of my first favorite genres of music would be praise and worship, but I also thoroughly enjoy classic rock and 80's (just such fun goofy music). My other love for music comes through the instruments I play which include the guitar, violin, piano, drums, and bass guitar. Tried the flute once, not for me.
As far as reading goes I love to learn, and I always get very enthusiastic about digging into a book to acheive the learning, however I have to push myself to get through, not sure why. However if it came to choosing books that helped me get over those humps because they were so great I would say that I enjoy Jane Austen, Louis L'amour, Joeseph Heller, C.S Lewis, Tolkien, and many others that are under a wide range of generes. I am willing to dig into something once and if I like I usually make it through to the end of the book. Oh, yes and there are many great poets I enjoy as well.
Movies, now that could take up a whole website. Maybe because it is easier just to sit in front of a T.V and have the story shown to you. I'm just lazy I suppose. I enjoy action, adventure, comedy, westerns, family, mystery/suspense, sci-fi, however there are not very many romantic movies I can sit through. I was raised by my father so sometimes the tom boy still comes out. However I am improving and becoming quite the lady, especially since becoming married and becoming a mom.
Since it is so easy to be entertained by television, mainly because of all the flashing pictures and colors there are a number of shows, or shall I say networks I enjoy too. HGTV, Foodnetwork, Discovery, History, Military, Outdoor, Foxnews (my husband has passed on addiction of always needing to know what is going on in the world) Starz westerns, old gene autry and bat masterson episodes are awesome.
In just the last two years I have taken a major interest in crafting. I love to sew, quilt, cross stitch, embroider, scrapbook, stamp, bead, card make. I will pretty much try anything. I love to keep busy, especially on something that wouldn't be consider work or that I have to be doing. Soon I hope to learn to crotchet and knit. As I said before I love to learn.
I also still like to keep in shape. Growing up I used to play softball, basketball, football, soccer, run track and field, and cross country, I did mention I was raised by my dad right. I was the only child, and I was a girl much to the dismay of my father.
On some additional notes, I love the outdoors, hiking, cycling, taking photos (although I am an amateur). I love the color blue and sometimes red. Such as aqua and red. Its like blueberries and strawberries or something very country. As I mentioned I am very eclectic.

Just wanted to say again what a blessing your package was today! I had been to the hospital for more tests, and as I was leaving~clumsy me twisted my knee while in the parking lot!! So now, on top of everything else, I can't hardly walk! haha...leave it to me. Anyway, had been anticipating my 2nd package coming, and God knew just when to get it to me. Thank you again so much & God Bless you also!! Dana
Yes, I did notice the "quilted" jar and should have mentioned it in my thank you note (in my first comment), but I forgot. But that doesn't mean I appreciate your thoughtfulness and creativity any less. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for a wonderful swap.

Hi Heather,
I am so touched by your sweet message and the care you took to put this swap together for me. The adorable decorated jars will join a few others on my shelf to help keep me organized (hopeless, most of the time!) Of course, I love the buttons, and had a great time looking through them and sorting them. I've collected buttons for years, and always love adding new ones to the mix. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. I just loved this swap! All the very best to you and your family.
Warmest regards, Marilyn
I just loved every last thing that you sent in the pretty in pink swap. I have hung the picture you drew on my wall. right next to my skeleton garland! One thing: The ink on the envelope was smudged, so maybe use a permanent marker next time (just in case) I really love the pumpkin. I love that it is pink, and that it is handmade. and its soooo soft! I bought some felt recently to make my sister a panda, shes a panda maniac... and your pumpkin has given me some ideas on how to do the threading. (I've never sewn felt before) I really love all the papers. I've never done cardmaking before either, so that is a new craft I will definetly get into because of you! I love the card and envelope that you sent me in the pkg. And all the goodies to start cardmaking. The scissors, the beads, the pressed flowers, everything was so wonderful! I look forward to joining more swaps you are in, in the chance we may be partners again, and maybe I'd get to send to YOU! Or maybe in the future we can do a private swap, so I can return the favor of all the great goodies that you sent!
