Easy swap. Newbies with filled out Profiles encouraged. I understand we all have to start somewhere and this is a great swap to do that. Send a stuffed envelope with assorted goodies to one partner. Please send, at least a long business size envelope that measures approximately 4 x 9 inches, however you can certainly choose to go bigger if you want to. There is no minimum or maximum number of items to send, just make sure your envelope is stuffed full. The items you send are SENDER'S CHOICE. This is not a Profile swap, so please do not spend a lot of money shopping for profile surprises. This is more for you to send items that you have on hand, that are in good usable condition. This does not mean you can send your trash, send only items in good, usable condition. Please do not send items like, your used candy wrappers, or written on apt. card, or loose memo or post it scraps, etc. Do send items from the list below. If you are unsure of items, you can ask me. Examples Include (but are not limited to )

Post cards,

Greeting Cards

Ribbons

Bookmarks

Buttons

Scrapbook papers, chipboard, etc ephemera

beads,charms

game pieces

altered art supplies

stickers

recipes/recipe cards

old photographs

small books

handmade items

craft supplies

teas/coffee/drink mixes

fabric scraps, sewing items

ribbons, yarns

rubber stamps or stamped images

movies/dvd's/cds

seeds

Or anything else you want to share that is in good, usable condition.

PLEASE REINFORCE your envelope with tape at the seams or use a larger envelope, if you think there is a chance it will explode during mailing. You may also choose to put stuff in a baggie in case the envelope tears in transit. This is a USA only swap. Have fun. No recent no sends allowed. Please rate your partner. No FLAKERS ALLOWED. Do Not Flake. I will list all flakers. I reserve the right to ban individuals.

Please do not send scraps of memo paper/notebook/post-it type paper, etc. You may send the whole memo pad or notebook but scraps of note paper does not equal scrapbook papers.

New Swappers- Profile Help: To fill out your profile, go to Profile. Then select Edit Profile. Next select Personal. You will be brought to a screen where you can fill in the sections or add your own information. Things like favorite colors, crafts you do, items you collect, hobbies, likes/dislikes, etc...all help your partner to send you items that you will like or that you can use.

USA Only. No recent unexplained low ratings.

hysteriskt 01/29/2012 #

I also wish a international version of this! I would have been so fun! :)

wolfeagle 01/30/2012 #

I used to do an International version but the postage was way to expensive. :(

Engelenvrouwtje 01/31/2012 #

Ho, this is such a nice swap as I'me a newbie. Unfortenly I'me from Belgium, so I can't sign in for this one. This is really a easy and clear swap and it's a pitty I can't sign in. Isn't there no way to make one like this for Europe?

SilverHealer 01/31/2012 #

Hey! This looks like an amazing swap! Is there any chance that you would make an international or Canadian version, or could I do so? :D

ThunderingMountaineer 01/31/2012 #

wolfeagle 01/31/2012 #

Hi Silver Healer, you most certainly can make an International version of this swap. The only thing I ask is that you don't copy this swap exactly.....Maybe you could call it International Stuffed Envies or something like that. If you deicide to host it, come back and put a link here so others can come join.

whytewillow 01/31/2012 #

Signed up today and have a BUNCH of stuff to send. While I'm new to swap bot, I've been crafting forever and used to tend to overspend. Lol. Yay, this gives me a chance to share and also get a few items that are fresh and fun.

onyx95 01/31/2012 #

Hey all, another newbie here. So excited to use this site - love the concept and the options I have seen available. This swap looks perfect for a first swapper like me. I do a bookmark exchange in my reading group but so glad to find a group to swap other items with also.

BlondeeinNV 02/ 2/2012 #

whytewillow... You sound just like me, I always tend to over spend & over send, but isn't that the fun of it? To open your pkge and get ALL sorts of goodies, have your envelope bursting at the seams. lol
Looking forward to this, as I am a newbie too! =-]

RaHail 02/ 3/2012 #

I would love to swap with an international partner if the swap is made. To trade with other countries favorites.. oh my! I will watch for it. Blessings, Rene'

michell 02/ 4/2012 #

Ok i have signed up and ready to go. So now that i have my list of goodies to pack how do we know where we sent it to? This is my first one and just to excited about this!

wolfeagle 02/ 4/2012 #

Welcome to Swap-bot. First thing, go to the Help section and read the new user info and FAQs. They are really helpful.
As far as what happens next, people have until the sign up date to sign up, next, I will review profiles and drop people. Once that is done, the SWap-bot computer will randomly assign partners, and you should get an email letting you know partners are assigned. I will drop people if they have not filled out their profile, so newbies, please make sure you fill it in....it's how your partner gets to know you and helps people to send you items you can use and hopefully will like.

whytewillow 02/ 5/2012 #

I have a big, fat 8 x 10 envelope...(doubled for security), all ready to go. I'm so excited about being a part of this crafty site, that I get going immediately after joining a swap. I also have two sunflower ATC's ready to mail as well...Hmmm, I guess I get a bit over zealous. But oh what fun to have a venue to express one's creativity. Thanks a lot.

beenebag 02/ 6/2012 #

Thought I'd throw this out there...The post office has a 9x12 priority flat rate padded envelope that is only $5.30 to send ANYWHERE, ANY WEIGHT in the contiguous US. Unfortunately, they don't usually stock them at the post office. But I went online and ordered a pack of them for FREE :

https://store.usps.com/store/browse/uspsProductDetailMultiSkuDropDown.jsp?categoryNavIds=catGetMailingShippingSupplies%3asubcatMSSPriorityMail&categoryNav=false&navAction=push&navCount=0&productId=PEP14PE&categoryId=subcatMSS_PriorityMail

They were delivered to my house in a few days. They are great to send bulky (and heavier items). And much cheaper than the smallest FLAT RATE boxes. Make sure to order the:

Priority Mail Flat Rate Padded Envelope

Here's another link about them: http://postcalc.usps.gov/PopUps/PMPaddedFREnv.htm

Happy swapping:)

Kimbeewa 02/ 7/2012 #

Here is the clicky link for the padded envies @beenebag mentioned: USPS LINK

ABWebster83 02/ 7/2012 #

Do u angel flakers?

Insomnia 02/ 8/2012 #

Thank you for welcoming Newcomers! I just joined this site and this will be my actual first swap here! I am looking forward to swapping:)

wolfeagle 02/ 8/2012 #

No, I do not personally angel every flaker. I do help to find angels for people if they contact me about the flaker, want an angel, and have rated their partner appropriately.

artisticsole 02/ 8/2012 #

Just joined swap-bot today AND cleaned up my crafty room so have lots of goodies for someone!! Wolfeagle, Thanks for letting newbies join!!

LubbyGirl 02/ 8/2012 #

This looks like a GREAT beginner swap for me! I have already started gathering up some varied items, and I have a question: do the postcards need to be store-bought, or can I make some? I enjoy making them, using pictures I've taken on various trips, and I'd love to include one or two of that type if possible.

wolfeagle 02/ 9/2012 #

Welcome evryone, I'm still reviewing profiles but should get through them all today. :) @LubbyGirl You could send well made handmade postcards as it is sender's choice in what you send. I actually prefer the handmade kind and have a series in my CRafty Recyclers group where we make handmade postcards based on a monthly theme. Come check us out.

wolfeagle 02/ 9/2012 #

I dropped 30 people from this swap and the messages have already started...wanting to know why was I dropped? I give you the reason you were dropped...so you know why you were dropped. Please fix whatever that is and then you are welcome to come join in the next round. It's totally not personal, and it doesn't mean you are forever banned from my swaps...Thanks so much for understanding.

artisticsole 02/ 9/2012 #

My envie has gone postal! Can't wait for my partner to get it! :)

whytewillow 02/10/2012 #

Envie in the mail...1lb 6.5 Oz of fun on its way. BUT, it cost 7.50 to mail snail mail (parcel post). Will take a week to get to my partner. Wish I'd known about those padded envies. Next time. Cant wait to hear if she liked it.

Margothecat 02/10/2012 #

Mine went out this morning :) It cost me over $10 to mail it this time!

birdsandbeads 02/10/2012 #

Mine is on the way!!

wolfeagle 02/11/2012 #

Wow..that's a lot of postage, must either be a bigger then required envelope or a really heavy one.....you can also use the priority mail envelopes for around $5.00. :)

BlondeeinNV 02/13/2012 #

My pkge went out this morning. =-] Hope you like what I sent you Sara.

LubbyGirl 02/14/2012 #

Yup...mailed it this morning; sure hope it's OK! I think I might like doing this - I learned a lot. And I really, really enjoyed trying to find something my swap partner would like. Lord willing, there will be something in the package that will be loved, and lots that will be liked.

HLBlonde 02/15/2012 #

I sent my Envie, I hope my partner likes it... This is so much fun

LyndenMomof2 02/24/2012 #

wolfeagle 03/ 8/2012 #
