Description:

With the weather turning a bit cooler I thought it would be nice to get those hooks going, and make something to keep us warm. When I came across this granny cowl I thought it would make a great swap, something a little different than you basic scarf.

So here it is.

You will have ONE partner, and will make that one partner, a Granny Cowl, following this tutorial …

granny cowl

You MUST use a nice quality yarn. NO “Red Heart” or anything that will be scratchy around your neck. If it isn’t something you would like, then don’t use it.

The tutorial shows the cowl done it several colors, but to make it easier on us you will choose ONE color, and your partner can make it in any shades of that color, (for instance you choose blue, your partner can use any blue, from baby blue, to royal, to navy). You can also you neutral colors(white, cream, black, etc. if it goes with the colors you are using.) Please list your color choice below, if none is listed then it will be sender choice.

The tutorial also gives the suggestion of finishing the edges with a row(or more) of clusters, I think it would be pretty, BUT that is your choice if you want to or not.

Since this will be something that is worn, please do your best work, and make something you would be proud to wear!

All ends must be woven in, DO NOT knot the ends of the yarn, and cut off.

This will be open to ALL group members, so please be aware that you may get an international partner.

I will be checking all participants to make sure you are in good standing. Since this is a group swap there shouldn’t be any flaking!

I understand things happen, and if an emergency does arise please be in contact with me, and your partner so we can work things out, and as always I will angel if needed.

If you have any questions please send me a PM as I do not always check here.

I hope you enjoy the swap.
