Description:

I've gotten some PMs asking for an international version, so here it is! Even if you are in the USA you can still join, the postage shouldn't be too expensive and it would be a great way to add to your gem collection by joining both the USA & International versions!

This is a swap for anyone that loves gems, minerals & crystals! I think a lot of pagan's might enjoy this swap or even if you are just into pretty stones or practice New Age or alternative healing techniques!

When you first join this swap you MUST immediately add - below in the comments section - 3 or 4 colors you would like your stone to be. Your partner (when they are assigned) will look for your name below and then go buy you a stone that they choose for you based on one of the colors you have listed.

The stone should be specially purchased for your partner. Most stones are rather inexpensive so this should not be very costly, I would say under $5.00.

The stone that you buy for your partner should be at least around the size of a walnut. I understand that walnuts are round and most stones have odd shapes, especially those that are 'in the rough', but I just want to give a basic idea of what the size should be. In other words, no pea-sized, tiny-little, have-to-squint-to-see-it kind of stones! ;o) They can be bigger, just not smaller than about the size of a walnut.

The gem, mineral or crystal can be smooth & polished, cut or in the rough. Please no stones that have been cut into an animal, heart or any other unnatural shape! No glitter or anything added, no writing on it or etching in it! We want these to be as natural as possible.

Please, please, please find out the name of the gem, mineral or crystal and include it with the stone!!! We all want to know what we have received from our partners! If you are feeling extra-generous you can write down or print out some information about the stone - the attributes, properties, meanings, etc of the stone. But this is not necessary, the name however, is.

I am giving 1 month to find and mail the stone to your partner - that should be more than enough time!

I do check profiles & I will ban anyone who has not added their colors to the comments section by the time partners are to be assigned! It doesn't matter if you have extensive information on your profile, you still must add 3 to 4 colors that you want your stone to be in the comments section.

Please package you stone well (maybe with bubble wrap) so the Post Office doesn't destroy it on the way.

Any questions, please send me a PM. Thank you & I hope everyone enjoys this swap! :o)

As for the colors I like ~

  • Blues & greens or a mix of them.
  • Purples (but not amethyst, I have a lot of them). :o)
  • Lots of colors all blended together (like Flourite, Azurite, etc).

I love purples, browns, pinky/peachy or blended/multi coloured.

My colors would be:

Any odd stone, like a swirling agate or something or clear for scrying!

Thank you for arranging for the international swap. This is fantastic!! I love green, blue, purple and red. Oh I just love whatever is bright and pretty.

I like blues, greens, mixed (like fluorite), translucent (quartzs like smoky or clear), and Jaspers. I do have a lot of stones so unusual even if it doesn't fit into those colors is also lovely. I will be delighted with whatever my partner sends!

Wonderful, I'm so glad I found this swap! My preferred colours: Black, gray or translucent white, amber yellow. Although I will most likely just love anything.

I will be happy with anything you send me, but if I were prompted to list color preferences:

-white -green -clear -red

really anything you choose will make me extremely happy though! Thanks for hosting this swap internationally.

I just realised that I'm not sure what you mean by size of a walnut - the nut itself (which is rather small), or the nut with the shell/husk? :D When I joined I thought it's all clear, but now when I think of it...

jeanland 12/25/2013 #

@Veterok ~ The size doesn't have to be exact... I was just trying to give a basic idea. I just wanted to get across that sending a stone that is very tiny (like the size of a coffee bean or smaller) would be unacceptable.

I picked a walnut as a general guide because it isn't so huge that it would cost a lot of money to buy and to mail (considering the weight and postage costs) but it would be large enough to see and display on your altar, curio cabinet, desk or even to use for healing or other purposes, etc.

So don't worry too much about the size being EXACT, just pick something out that isn't tiny but is beautiful and that you have put effort into finding for your partner. :o)

I hope that helps you out @Veterok If you have any more questions please either post them here or send me a PM! :o)

I changed the SEND DATE to 31st January. I thought with all the holidays everyone has had to deal with we could all use a nice extension! :o)

Any questions just PM me!
