This is such a fun idea!

yeah i think so too, here in sweden this time of year we are usually knee deep in snow, but this year for some strange reason we arent,

i am actually missing it, not to mention the kids are really missing it, so i thought it would be fun to make our own snow!

its not a difficult swap so i will not ban anyone from this swap........its a good chance to gain some ratings points back....

but on good faith, send you snow flakes!:)

I love making paper snowflakes! I covered my living room window with them a few years ago! Sounds like a very enjoyable swap! I'm in!

hi swappers, i wanted to let you all know if you dont receive your swaps i have started a good swapping fairy swap, please check it out of you dont get your snowflakes by feb 14th, unless your partner contacts you telling they will be late:)

also i am wondering if there are any swappers who would be interested in be swap fairys without joining the other swap, meaning 2 weeks after the swap deadline, some ppl would volunteer to make extra snowflakes and let me know who you are, then if you who didnt receive e mail me and let me know i will give your address to a fairy and they can send you snowflakes.........

That is to early. One should always look if it is marked as sent and consider that abroad mail usualy takes about 10 days.

Anyway, one should ask before thinking it has not been sent if it is marked as sent. Mine are sent but February 14th - that distance - no way.

I received some gorgeous snowflakes today from Sarah in Australia, thank you so much. This swap has been so much fun, I have never made these before, but now I have a new hobby.

Hmmm...was about to send my snowflakes today but I noticed that my partner not only hasn't sent yet either, but she has a very low rating. One 5 and two 1's with the 1 ratings for swaps that ended in July 2006...I might wait to see if her partner receives from her before I send mine to her. Otherwise, if her partner doesn't receive from her, I'll send mine to her partner instead...

KarlaKC, I see your point. I`ve sent to someone who then flaked out (ling min and now helloabc). Wish I could take it back. But I think you should ask noel what he thinks.

Hi, Murmel! Yes, flakers make us feel badly. I've sent to them before and realized later that they didn't send to their partners, and it made me mad that I was part of their flawed swap (I caused them to receive something great, but they didn't return the deed to their partner). We can't always determine when a swapper is going to do, but if I see it happening, such as in this swap where the girl I'm to send to still hasn't sent her swap and has partners who haven't received from her in swaps that are 7 months old, I'm not about to send her something. I think Noel understands (but am happy to hear what you think, Noel) and I'm happy to keep my package and use it as an Angel when the Angels are arranged. I can send to this bad swapper's partner! Knowing that someone is most likely not going to receive from the girl whom I'm to send to is definitely a factor in my deciding not to send to my partner. Now if her partner DOES receive from her, then I'm happy to send my snowflakes to my partner. But I refuse to continue supporting these flakers who are taking advantage of these swaps by receiving, receiving, receiving for all sorts of swaps, but not giving back and leaving disappointed swappers in their wake. So unless my partner's partner receives from her, I'm saving my snowflakes for someone who didn't receive. I'm not about to send them to someone who isn't playing nice.

karla, i totally understand your point, i do however, think you should contact your partner and see whats happening, often there are great misunderstandings, often.not. i would at least drop her a mail. otherwise i think you have decided to do something good with your swap, if you were simply to not send to anyone then i would strongly disagree, but you arent doing that so......... i am happy you posted in the forum your thoughts so everyone is aware of your position though. thanks, noel

Hi I got an email about people not sending yet. I sent a few days before the mail out date. If it was a mass mailing i get it. other wise i had posted that i had sent.

Noel, will you be doing another paper snowflake swap. I seem to have created myself a snowflake blizzard LOL. I showed my teenage daughters how to make these and now we are competing to see who can make the prettiest one LOL.

Nina, yesterday (March 22) I mailed my snowflakes to you instead of my assigned partner (pixielou) since she did not send her assignment to you. Please post here when they arrive so that, "for the record", it'll be seen that I did mail my swap even if it didn't go to my assigned partner.

Sorry for the delay in replying we were all sick last week!! Received the snowflakes last week. They're lovely thank you and my 4 year old then told me they were better than the ones I made! There's loyalty for you.

You're welcome, Nina! I'm so glad they arrived and you liked them. I loved playing in the glitter (so did my children! we made a mess! and still found specks of glitter on our faces for days!) I'm glad they went to you instead of the partner I was assigned since she didn't send to whom she was supposed to...you! :)

Oh, and don't worry about your son's "loyalty". He still loves you. The swap asked for paper snowflakes. I just embellished mine a bit. He can't help but like them more!! haha!
