Description:

I've been collecting journal pages from group swaps forEVER, and have a hefty stack of them! I mean...a really big stack. In the past, I've assembled little booklets created from completed journal pages, and have given them as gifts, which were very well received. One was for a friend whose adored dachshund had crossed the rainbow bridge, and I made a little journal featuring adorable dachshunds and some sweet little doggie verses. Anyway...it's time to make some little journals for ourselves from a few of our journal pages, and once we've made one, more are sure to follow. I'm going with the 4x4 format, because it's what I'm most familiar with. And with the holidays past, I'm going to pick a general "romance" theme...flowers and sweet sayings and little hearts and things. Pretty ladies, sweet-faced children, cats and dogs. A bit like a Valentine in journal form, but without the word "valentine" anywhere in sight. Decorate the front of your page beautifully (as we do), put some sweet paper on the back with room for journaling, and put your name and swap information on the back, unobtrusively. Punch two little holes on the "binding side" of the front of the page, so that our partners are able to tie the completed journal together with ribbons and lace. The holes need to be punched 1/2-inch in from the side, and 1 inch from the top and bottom.
