Description:

Greetings! As an officer in three different faith-based groups here on Swap-bot, I’ve decided to do a Christmas-themed swap series across those three groups and in this order: Proverbs Women, Christian Swappers Group, and A Group of Christian Followers.

I’ve selected 12 Christmas songs. In each swap, you will choose one of the four listed hymns or songs to focus on:

Swap 1 in Proverbs Women Sign up by Sept. 30; send by Oct. 10

  • “Silent Night”

  • “Mary, Did You Know?”

  • “Joy to the World”

  • “Oh, Little Town of Bethlehem”

Swap 2 in Christian Swappers Group Sign up by Oct. 7; send by Oct. 24th.

  • “Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful”

  • “Angels We Have Heard on High”

  • “Oh, Holy Night”

  • “The First Noel”

Swap 3 in A Group of Christian Followers Sign up by Oct. 27; send by Nov. 14.

  • “Away in a Manger”

  • “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear”

  • “Go, Tell it On the Mountain”

  • “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”

See below about an international version.

The Swap: Create or buy your partner a card/envelope that embraces the theme of your song and a gift based on the hymn of your choice and include a letter or note saying why you chose the song you did.

  • The gift is for your partner and can be wrapped if you’d like. The song/hymn can be interpreted in any way. Sender’s choice. (Please put a gift tag on the gift with your name, forum name and the swap name in case your partner waits until December to open the gift.)

  • The card/envelope should be blank so your partner can send it to someone this Christmas season.

  • Your letter or note can be in a separate card, in a note card, etc. It can be typed or legibly handwritten. In addition to why you selected your song, your letter to your partner could include what you think of the versions of the songs and which artist or format you prefer, your favorite Christmas traditions, or anything else.

Country Living magazine has a list of 22 popular religious Christmas songs performed by a variety of artists. Go listen to/view some to get into the spirit or to hear some you may not be familiar with. Each of the 12 songs selected for this swap has a video on the magazine site with a video.

International Swap: Post in the discussion if there is interest in an international version. If so, I will post a single swap featuring all 12 songs in the group that requests it.

Snail mail. USA. Group membership.

Can the gift be a flat gift? And what would be considered a gift? Would a nice sticker sheet boe one or is that too small?

Artistic 09/24/2020 #

Yes, a gift could be flat. With that said, a single sticker sheet pulled from a package would not, however, be a gift. The full unopened package would. Or a sticker sheet like a package of Jolee's or Echo Park or other type could be a gift.

I did not put a price or value limit on this swap or any in this series. It is a sender's choice swap. Simply give as you would like to be given unto.

A packet went out to my partner today. Enjoy.
