Get To Know Me and My Town! Internatl. Penpal Swap

Back in the day, when I used to read my SASSY (or was it JANE?) magazine, I remember there used to be a 1 page feature which was an interview with a regular Joe(ette) who would talk about their town, what it was like, what people did for fun, what was considered cool or lame there, what sort of clothes / style the people had, recommended places to go to / places to avoid and what sorts of words, slangs or sayings were common and unique to their town.

I thought it would be really cool to do something like this for a swap!

You will have 3 partners and here are the requirements:

Please send...

1. One page telling your partner about yourself.

2. One page telling your partner about the town you're living in, please use the above paragraph as an idea of what to write about.

3. One postcard of your town (or closest city or state if no local postcards are available), its your choice if you want to write on the back or not!

4. One brochure from a local attraction in your town...think of a place where you would take a visitor to. If this can't be found, you could also send an interesting newspaper or magazine clipping about your town (please in English though).

Anything else you chose to add (a picture of yourself, etc.) is up to you!

We will each have 3 partners, and due to the amount of time it would take to write 3 separate letters, the same letter can be typed / printed and sent to each partner if you like. :o)

This swap should be easy to prepare for, since you do not need to prepare something based on your partner's profile, you can start getting your letters ready now if you like!

After the close-date of the sign-up, I’ll be checking out profiles to ensure that those signing up seem reliable. Partners will be assigned the day after the swap sign-up close date. Newbies are welcome, but please have a completely filled out profile and make sure you log in regularly. I reserve the right to ban participants who do not seem reliable or are suspicious.
