Description:

Happy Diwali!

In celebration of the Festival of Lights you will send a candle to your partner. Please choose something larger than either a votive or tea light unless you send at least 3-4 of these sized candles. You will also send a small surprise, either Diwali-related or a profile-based surprise.

Please check profiles as well as the comments of this swap to make sure you send something your partner will truly be delighted to receive. See what color they love or scents they like or perhaps they prefer unscented items. Get great ideas for a profile surprise or what kind of Diwali surprise they would enjoy. Handmade items are fine as long as they are good quality and your partner enjoys receiving handmade gifts. Be prepared to spend at least $5-7 for the candle and surprise, in addition to the postage to send your package.

Please send a splendid package that you would be delighted to receive.

In mindfulness of allergy sufferers, for whom scents can be very triggering, I want to be sure this preference is stated by the participants. That said, please state your preference for scented vs. unscented candles in the Comments of this swap when you sign up. If you like scented candles, perhaps mention a couple of scents you enjoy.

I have made this swap for the US only. If enough people express the desire and responsibility for the cost postage for an International swap, I will change it. You must have at least a 4.5 rating to join this swap.

I am interested, this seems like a very short turnover, especially since it includes a profile based item

Thank you for the feedback, @walkintheway I was hoping to have people get their surprise package during the festival of Diwali.

This started as a group swap, but the group isn't very active right now and there was little interest. I moved this a public swap instead and that lost a couple of days in there.

Does anyone else feel a week is too short of time to put together a candle and small surprise for a partner? I'd be willing to extend the time out.

I'm in love with India and everything East Indian, so I'm in!

I think Diwali starts Nov 5th so if you could extend a little longer that would be great. I am going to our local Diwali Festival on Saturday and Halloween is on Sunday so that is just pushing it a little.
