Hi everyone! I'm Amie...talking about myself is harder than you can imagine...here goes!

I live in a fairly small town in the big state of Texas. I've been married for 36 years and my wonderful husband never complains about my honey-dos, shopping or crafting! (insert big smile here)

I have 3 grown sons and I'm Nana to 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Shopping in the little girl department is a new and wonderful experience!!

I've been an orthodontic assistant for over 20 years...the same Doctor has put up with me all those years! I must be easy to get along with :) but don't make me mad. hah

Sometimes life is not fair...I happen to like fair. And that's that.

I like to watch a good movie with my popcorn and milk duds...yup, pour those babies over your warm popcorn and get ready for a party in your mouth.

Kill Bill !! Not gonna apologize

I hate to admit it but I'm a reality show junkie! Just can't help myself. I called for hours to vote for Kelly Clarkson the first year of American Idol! Really.

Maybe all that horrible drama (made up and real) makes my real life drama, well...not so dramatic. Who knows???

My favorite reality shows are The Next Food Network Star, Project Runway and The Next HGTV Design Star!

However, I do enjoy Black List and some CSI! Anyone remember China Beach? Loved it!

I just love crafting in general. I started with scrapbooking and card making. Still make special cards for close friends and relatives. I just love the personal touch and to see their face light up.

I kinda jumped in head first and started trying ATC's and Rolos. It's the smaller scale that interest me. Even tho smaller doesn't necessarily mean quicker by any means. I can fret over the tiniest detail for hours (not good) well, good for you maybe...

I adore shabby chic. Not the tacky kind, but whites and soft colors and pretty flowers. Wood Furniture with sanded edges makes my heart sing... My husbands famous line is "You're gonna make it look old anyway". and he's right most of the time.

I happen to like birds. and crowns. and birds with crowns. Throw in some butterflies and dragonflies, I'm good to go.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to color. I have a red couch for heavens sake! (technically called pomegranate) And my kitchen walls are red...you're picturing some horrible, gaudy, mess of a house right now, aren't you? hehe but it's not really. You'll just have to trust me on that one. I love mercury glass too. My mantel is full of it, across from that red couch ;)

Oh yeah, I LOVE a birds nest! And I'm crazy about collaged art of any kind (ATC's, rolos, postcards, etc)

And another thing I like... rub-ons. I use those quite often

I really hate to put any thing here, but... not a fan of cigarette smoke and I'm allergic to cats and musty library books. When my husband sees a book outside on the patio he knows I have an old one I'm airing out. Juss sayin...

Not particularly fond of cartoony stuff but do like quirky.

I will put every bit of my heart into something I make or send and hope to receive the same. So please don't slap on a sticker and call it good. Sorry, I had to say it. Really, I'm sorry.
