Hello you!
Thanks for visiting my account.
I'm a Dutchie living in France (moved there 20 years ago) and enjoying the life in the countryside next to Paris (really only 20 trainminutes away from the City center!). I'm married, we have 3 children and a dog. I'm an artist and I do voluntary work.
So my hobby is my work, which includes: painting and collage.
I'd love to exchange with you and my favorite crafts are: Collage, Happy mail, Junk journaling, ATC exchange, Painting, Penpalling
Take a look at my instagram account to see my style: atelierdejacinte
......and send me a message in case you're interested to exchange letters, JJ materials, ATCs
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Collage : mainly working with old (vintage) paper from books and magazines
Painting with acrylic paints : flowers, sttill-llifes and portraits)
Junkjournaling : preferably with vintage material
Lately I've taken up embroidery again, but in a slightly different way; embroidery on paper (like old photographs)
My favorite books are historical ones;
The Pillars of the Earth (by Ken Follet) for example
Or the whole series of books about Henri VIII by Philippa Gregory of which 'The Other Boleyn Girl" is jjust one.
Also I loved to read : The Professor and the Madman (Simon Winchester) Burial rites (Hannah Kent) A thousand splendid suns (Khaled Hosseini)
And being member of a bookclub I could mention many many more....
I have a favorite radio station here in France that I could easily listen to all day : Radio FIP. They have a very eclectic choice in music and I get never bored listening to the music they play.
And further I just love the voice of Rag'n Bone Man, great fan of his song "Human".
Things I love:
I really like old paper as in bookpages in different languages, old laces, old buttons and old photographs. I regularly visit antique fairs just to look around en enjoy!
Envelope art (I just love it when someone makes an effort of sending something in a pretty envelope!)
Botanical illustrations (from old books)
And oh.... chocolate (the darker the better because it contains less sugar)
The colors blue, green, purple en cool red
Things I don't really like:
Tea (I'm not a tea drinker, I largely prefer coffee!)
Sweets (trying to prevent diabetes which runs in the family)
The colors orange, brown and pink
