Jeremiah 29:11 and Isiah 40:31 are two of my favorite verses as they have helped give me faith and hope through hard times in my life.

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH STRENGTHENETH ME
I also like this verse for those that believe in evolution:
IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH (Genesis 1:1)
