Hi! I am a 40-something year old teacher, divorced / single mom from Toronto, Canada.

Ahh, snail mail! I enjoy sending and receiving mail. Who doesn't, right?

I'm a long letter writer, and have been an avid penpaller since the late 1980s.

Although I am new to swap-bot, rest assured that I am not new to palling & swapping. Besides enjoying friendship through mail, I swap slams, friendship booklets and label ( + other) bags. I am also really getting into decos! I am an honest, thoughtful, and reliable swapper.

Some of my other hobbies and interests include scrapbooking, crafts, reading, history, philosophy, mail art, photography, blank postcards (for slam making + postcrossing :)), collecting letter sets ('cos I can never remember if it is stationery or stationary :P), kawaii, watching movies, listening to music, walking and hiking, the outdoors and spending time with my family.

I am open to new penfriendships - however, please note that I type my letters. Sometimes I am able to write back within a few days, and sometimes, it may take me a few months.

I am also open to new local friendships! If you live in the Toronto area and are looking for a crafting / craft shopping (ha!) buddy and/or activity friend, send me a message. I'm an easy-going, kind, and empathetic person... I am always keen on meeting and spending time with likeminded friends

I am very passionate about the environment, in particular the climate & biodiversity crisis. At times, this causes my anxiety to sky rocket, and my mental health to plummet, however, I am trying to harness my fear into community action.

I enjoy taking care of my natural garden, participating in community clean up events, conserving water, and buying only what I need. I also talk about the climate & biodiversity crisis with others, in hopes of raising awareness, and initiating even more action.

I love rock / pop music, from the 1950s to present day. Some of my favourite artists / bands include Aerosmith, ACDC, GNR, Bon Jovi, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande etc...

And yeah, I always have a book on the go! I especially love to read historical romances, specially, western historical romances.

What can I say? I love cowboys, sheriffs, outlaws... LOL. I am active on both GoodReads and Bookcrossing.

I own approximately 1400 paperbacks. All neatly stored in my basement, craftroom, and bedroom. If it is books, it ain't hoarding!

I'm currently obsessed with washi (you don't want to know how many washi rolls are in my possession!), scrapbooking stickers, word stickers, and postcards. I'm using my crafting stash to make postcard-sized slams. I just really love collaborative booklets... kinda reminds me how small the world is, and how we are all inter-connected, one way or another.

Many, many years ago, I began swapping online via yahoo groups - and now groups.io and via Facebook. Ahh, so the internet is actually good for something, LOL.

I always send my items on time, and put great care and attention to detail with my swaps. I only send what I would like to receive in return.

Sometimes Canada Post is a bit slow with mail delivery, and even more so with the current pandemic. If there is an issue, I will send an email and communicate with you. If you have no received my swap, please let me know, and I will be able to resend.

I might be slightly obsessed with postcards! :) As Here are a few themes that I love: castles, (baby) animals, touristy, oceans, bridges / lighthouses, forests/parks, Snoopy, Diddl, Garfield, Sanrio, San-X, kawaii, dolls, vintage, gnomes, mailboxes, snails, fairytales, scenic views, Blue Cat, Postcrossing meetup cards, Keep Calm, weird, ugly etc... However, feel free to send me anything that you like and/or have on hand.
